CHAPTER THIRTY

Damons PoV

If I didn't have little one with me right now I would probably be a raging mess.  We just sat in the spare room we used earlier, we know he was wrong about what he heard but we are to blame too. I know Dante will sort it out but the wait is killer. "Three days! He's felt like that for three days and not one of us sensed it" I say. "No, don't do that, Luka is a master at hiding his true feelings  so don't feel like that. He should have asked us but obviously we didn't comfort him enough after he told us. How could we have known what to do so we are all at fault big man" he says leaning up to kiss me.

He's been perched on my lap since we got here and we are finding strength from each other. All of a sudden I scent my mate and brother approaching, I'm hoping it's all good now, if it's not I don't know what to do. They finally reach us and Dante enters, he looks happy enough. Luka peeps out from behind him 'oh shit it's still not-,' I'm just thinking the worst when he runs over to us and jumps into my lap on top of his brother. He's apologising and crying.

I hold them both into my chest feeling relief like never before, he's back. "Calm down boys, now we are all sorry, repeating it and cutting over each other is getting us nowhere. Now Luka, I take it you're all good and Dante explained enough for the lot of us" "he did and I'm sorry I misunderstood" I nod. "It's ok we get it and how it could of happened. We're sorry we didn't make you feel more secure, anything else boys?" I ask. They look at each other cheekily and say together "no sirs"

"Why you little cheeky monkeys!" I exclaim and look at Dante he nods and shouts "we're gonna get you for that" I hold em while he rushes over. We have a massive tickle fight until Lucas nearly pees himself and cries mercy. He rushes to the bathroom and I take time to kiss Luka senseless letting him know I love him with all my heart.

When Lucas comes in and sees us he pouts and hurumps  "want love little one?" I hear Dante ask and then I hear them kiss. I break my kiss with Luka and say "ok we've had enough of sexy time boys. Today we are resting but tomorrow we have serious business to attend to so what do you want to do". "Can we pack up a picnic and go to the lake, we could ask Rory and Mason along with Rhys, John, Paul and Nick. I just want a fun day before we deal with it all" Luka asks. We all agree it's a brilliant idea.

First thing we do is seek out ma and da. Luka hugs and kisses her while we explain what happened. Again he's apologising but she brushes it off just happy things are going to be ok. Next we mind link the boys we get a chorus of "hell yeah and yes! day out" from everyone except John. "Guys can you pack up I need to go see John" Luka asks. I take him aside "it's been a stressful day already are you sure" "yes, I need this so does he" he tells me so I let him go.

We pack everything we need into two bags, when we go to make the packed lunch we see ma and some of the other pack members have made it for us, telling us they were happy to help their Luna feel better. We are touched by this and vouch to tell Luka about it. Five minutes later we are ready to go, I haven't heard from Luka or John but don't want to rush them. Just then they come out of the office, both look like they've been crying but they are both smiling now.

Nobody acknowledged anything we just simply asked where they ready. We get to the lake and just mess around for the evening no stress or worries. We swim, eat and just have fun knowing the household relationships are good again.

Dantes PoV

The next morning there is a sense of dread over the pack house, yet again, I swear once today is over nobody better disturb anyone in our pack for a long time or they will pay. Today the council are coming to pass judgment on the sick bastard and his fucked up mini crew. They will be here in half an hour.

We just eat breakfast and get ready. Nobody is really in the mood to talk so we just give small touches here and there to reassure each other. When the time comes we go to the meeting hall, only our family and council members are allowed to attend but our loyal pack wait outside on the grounds for the verdict. We sit in our seats in the hall while the council members have their seven seats placed on the stage.

Greg, Nat and Peter are brought in making us growl and snarl. We are ordered to stop by Storm the main council leader. Anyone would think the council members were models and young but because of their status they age even slower than we do, each one is wise and was picked because of their ability to judge a situation fairly and properly. Thus they are trusted by all packs.

"Ok let's get started, Peter you and your mate Nat are accused of helping Greg kidnap Luka. I'm told you drugged him and dragged him out the bathroom window and delivered him to Greg. When Greg was committing lude acts on Luka you and your mate started having sex instead of helping the young man. Is this true?" Storm asks. Just as he goes to answer Greg shouts "he did and he would do it again wouldn't you Peter? He knows they are my little toys and these two fuckers stole them from me"

Peter looks at him like he wants to kill him but calmly says "I did but only because he threatened my mate. He said he would take her instead and I couldn't let that happen. He's gone insane since his mate died, it's not my fault" I nearly believe the tramp. "Peter you traitor, I should have killed the skank. He is lying-" SHUT UP! You've said enough, you killed their pack and parents in this insane quest of yours. That wasn't enough you kidnaped the poor boy and nearly made the rest of his life a nightmare. If his mate hadn't of turned up he would be scared for life, they are not yours!" Storm screams at him. Greg shows his neck in submission.

"As convincing as that little speech was the fact is you are also accused of more crimes. You took two young boys called Skylar and Tyler Bane, cousins of Luka and Lucas Bane from Greg willingly. You tortured and raped these boys along with members of your pack so I don't believe you for a moment." Peter starts shouting in denial until the door opens and the twins come in. Poor Skylar is shaking like a leaf. Peter forgets himself and yells out "Where did you bastards get my property, They. Are. Mine"

"Enough said, boys you can leave" Storm tells them. They do so quickly and I can feel how anxious our mates are to comfort them but they can't for now. "These two alphas are gone mad with power lust, they want to control people as well as packs. For these crimes they are sentenced to death, Nat you assisted these two but only played a smaller part you can choose to die with your mate or live alone in a cell for the rest of your life"  it's a difficult choice.

"I will go with him, please moon goddess don't pair me with such evil again. I'll be good I promise" she cries. I still feel no sympathy for her she played a part in hurting my mate. "Ok, it shall be. The family are invited to watch the execution but are free to leave." I know they don't want or need to see this so I look at them, Luka shakes his head. "Do you want one of us to stay just so you are sure it's over?" Damon asks.

"It's up to you, it would be nice to have closure but we don't want you to have to see that" little one tells us. "We don't like seeing it but we do anytime there's a battle or when we have bad rouges to deal with so I'll stay. Damon will comfort you and I'll be along shortly ok" I kiss both their foreheads and they leave. Storm approaches the three whimpering wolves and with his increased strength he decapates one after the other. I don't like it but I'm glad it's done now we can move on in peace. Finally!.
