“Emmy can I pay for my own ticket, pretty please?” Honor begged as she tugged on the sleeve of Emmy’s shirt.

“Sure,” Emmy mumbled attempting to placate her as she handed her a five dollar bill.

The line towards the gate slowly inched forward and Emmy groaned as she realized they were going to miss kick off. Going to her school’s boys soccer games was the highlight of most of the people in Redwood’s weekend. Unlike many places in America football was not Redwood’s high school athletic entertainment, soccer was. Emmy’s school hadn’t won a football game in the past two decades, so they’d lost all but their most loyal fans. The boys soccer team on the other hand was attempting to secure a fifth unbeaten season in a row, and they were already off to a good 3-0 start.

A loud roar came from the enthusiastic crown on Redwood High’s side, before it turned into loud boos. The spectators were obviously upset by the ref’s call. Emmy glanced  forward feeling happy now that only two people stood in front of her in line. Once the two in front of her had gone inside the gate, Honor stepped up to the lady in the booth grinning as she thrust her ticket money at her. The lady laughed at her childish enthusiasm as she handed Honor her ticket. Emmy paid for her ticket before following her sister inside.

“This is so cool I’m at a high school game!” Honor squealed excitedly.

Emmy rolled her eyes at her younger sister, she couldn’t believe her sister would be in high school next year.

“Where are we sitting?” Honor asked turning around to face her.

“I have no clue Summer and the other girls were supposed to save me a seat, but I doubt we’ll find them in this crowd,” Emmy said as she grabbed Honor’s arm pulling her to a stop at midfield so that she could survey the crowd better.

“Why don’t you just call them?” Honor suggested a duh tone in her voice.

Emmy frowned at her little sister’s attitude before quickly dialing Summer’s number. The phone ran for so long that Emmy was just about to hang up before Summer answered the phone.

“Hello!” Summer shouted.

“Where are you?” Emmy yelled holding one hand over her other ear in an attempt to hear Summer better.

“In the stands,” Summer replied.

“Seriously Summer. Where in the stands are you exactly?” Emmy asked.

“In the middle, where are you I’ll give you directions,” Summer told her.

“I’m at midfield and I have Honor with me,” Emmy replied.

“Oh, I see y’all ok well just go straight up the stairs in front of you looking towards your left and go until I tell you to stop,” Summer shouted as the crowd began to get louder.

“Ok,” Emmy said as she grabbed Honor and gestured for her to walk in front of her.

Emmy and Honor walked up until they were in the middle of the stairs.

“Stop!” Summer called out to her, “Now just slide thorough the row to your left until you get to us.”

“Ok,” Emmy said hanging up and pulling Honor gently down the row behind her.

Emmy slipped past a brunette teenage boy and found herself standing in front of Summer.

“Hey Emmy!” Summer squealed hugging her before gesturing for her to sit in the empty space to her left on the other side of which sat Kara and Mia.

“Hi Summer!” Honor exclaimed happily before turning her attention to Kara who began explaining the rules of the game to her.

“Hey Honor,” Summer replied.
