Lottie's P.O.V

I hated my new plan.

Mason was out on a date and I was absolutely infuriated. I paced back and forth in front of the door while Dean watched, just waiting for Mason to come back home.

I hated the thought of him entertaining another girl. I hated the thought that they might be holding hands. Or kissing. Or... touching.

Calm down. You're going to give yourself an aneurism. Cris told me.

Even though she wanted me to calm down, it wasn't going to work. I knew she was antsy too, which wasn't exactly helping me get calm.

He was out on a date with one of the girls at his high school. Daisy, apparently. When she showed up at the door, I was ready to rip off her head.

If I had to look up "Hippy Slut" in the dictionary, there'd be a picture of her. She was wearing a dress made of flowers. Like seriously. The dress was tiny, low cut with a high hem, and the flowers were alive, which was actually kinda cool, and she was barefoot.

Dean had to drag me to the other room to calm me down.

It may have been my idea, and it may have been necessary, but I couldn't help it. I knew what Mason was like.

He wasn't meant to be tied down. He never had been before. He didn't know how to act. And I was nervous.

Maybe he couldn't help himself. Maybe she would force the issue. Either way, if Mason touched that girl, I'd absolutely lose it.

"Why don't you sit down, Charlotte? You need to keep calm. Mason isn't going to cheat. He's just doing what you told him to" Dean tried soothing me, coming up behind me to hug me. He tried to kiss me but I wouldn't let him. I moved my arms, taking his off me with ease.

I couldn't sit still right now. I had an antsy energy, which was demanding to be released.

What do you think they're doing? Where do you think they went? I asked Cris, as if she knew any more than I did.

She didn't bother answering. She didn't know. And I didn't know. So we didn't know.

"Why don't we go upstairs instead? I'll make you forget everything for a little while" Dean suggested, grabbing hold of my hand.

I freed myself to keep pacing. I couldn't even make myself be even remotely excited when I knew that Mason was out there with another woman.

Maybe we should take him up on his offer. It would certainly distract us. Maybe enough to forget about Mason and his fucking date. Cris said. She didn't sound all that enthusiastic though and I wasn't exactly in the mood.

It was only my second time. I didn't want it to happen when I wasn't even sure I wanted it to.

"No. But thank you for the offer" I told Dean distractedly.

He sighed and gave up. He took a seat on the couch to wait this out with me.

At least, that's what I thought.

"Do you really have that little trust in him?" Dean asked.

I froze right where I was.

I trusted Mason.

Didn't I?

If I truly trusted him though, I wouldn't be so anxious over this date.

"I just don't trust the girls of the world" I replied, though it felt like a lie.
