Mason POV

She left for the meeting about an hour ago. I was on her bed, hugging her pillow as if it were her. I stayed up, thinking about an Alpha who apparently 'had the hots for her' at the meeting with her. Why didn't she come home? Was she out with that jerk? I was restless.

No, you're jealous, Derrick corrected.

Of course I'm jealous, aren't you?, I asked him. He didn't answer. He didn't need to. When we were finally able to fall asleep, we dreamt about Charlotte married to some other guy. A tall guy with hazel eyes and brown hair.

I woke up around noon because I was up so late worrying about her. I looked over to Charlotte's side of the bed only to realize she wasn't there. My heart fell. Where was she? I took a quick shower, planning on going to the pack house to look for her. If she had slept with the unknown Alpha than she would still be there. I went to the kitchen to cook some eggs. I was about to beat the crap out of an Alpha for sleeping with my girl. I would all the energy I could get. I walked around, completely in my element, when I heard a soft snore coming from the living room. Charlotte? I walked over there, cautious in case it wasn't her, and low and behold it was. Her hair was a mess because she didn't put it in a braid before she went to sleep. From the way she was sprawled I would guess she fell asleep before she could even get upstairs. Too exhausted to even get to the comfy bed. My heartbeat raced at seeing her like this. Her leg was thrown over the back of the couch, her pouty mouth opening and closing with her soft snores, her chest stretching her shirt even more. I could clearly see her thighs from her having really short shorts. Derrick practically drooled at the sight. I hated to wake her up but I had to. I shook her gently.

“Lottie?” I called her name. Her nose wrinkled and she mumbled something, still asleep. She turned over, snoring a little.

Let's just let her sleep a little more. She looks adorable when she sleeps, Derrick said with a loving tone to his voice.

I left her alone.

Lottie POV

I was too damn tired these days. When I woke up I was barely even conscience. I heard someone moving around in the kitchen right off. It was just so loud.

“Mason?” my voice croaked. I rubbed my eyes, my vision being blurry. I kinda felt like I had a hangover. He came in with a small towel that he was using to dry off his hands.

“Hey Sleeping Beauty” he smiled at me. I swung my legs off the couch and stood up, stretching when I got up. He watched my every move.

“How was the meeting last night?” he asked. I sighed.

“You know how I told you that the fate of the pack depends on either an unreliable Alpha or George?” I asked him, going into the kitchen for something to drink.

“Yeah” he said.

“Well, George did all he could but he didn't find anywhere to move so we have to count on the Alpha” I said, going to fridge and pouring myself some juice.

“The one that has the hots for you?” Mason's voice was tight. I nodded and drank my juice, taking a glance at the clock as I did. I nearly choked on my juice.

“What the hell! It's already five?!” I almost dropped my glass. Mason nodded.

“Yeah. I was going to wake you up earlier but you looked really tired. What's the big deal?” he asked, eyes scanning my face.

“I had to go shopping. Now I won't have enough time” I ran my hands through my hair, mentally thinking over what I could wear for the 'date'.

“Shopping for what?”
