Note: Read at your own risk. This chapter includes a detailed scenario of spontaneous abortion/miscarriage. I would also like to put a disclaimer that every event like this would be different per mother. One may experience heavy bleeding and pain, one may not, so one should not compare and/or associate this to what happens in real life alone. A gentle reminder that this book is only fictional.

Kwon Boram's POV
"We're going out for lunch. Wanna join us?" Kyungmin asked as soon as the clock striked to 12 in the afternoon.
I was fully immersed in what I was doing — it was a powerpoint presentation I was creating to be presented to a client in two days — and quick a no was my response to the question. I just had three more slides left to finish, and I believe I can finish that within 30 minutes, take a break and eat for thirty minutes as well to optimize my time here in the office. Afterall, I don't have to buy food as Jin prepared me lunch because I wouldn't eat anything unless I saw him cook it and taste it in front of me, and if it's not with japchae.
Pumpkin has made me very picky when it came to food. I hated almost everything but loved pickles and japchae. It was so difficult to find which foods are nourishing enough and I could tolerate without feeling nauseous or even vomiting at the same time.
As I was finalizing the last slide of my presentation, a sudden ache from my stomach had me pause from typing and I froze, sweating cold. I leaned forward, holding my stomach and tucking it in to relieve the pain. However, as each second passed by, the pain was becoming more unbearable and tears were beginning to corner my eyes.
With shaking hands, I reached for my phone and tried to call Jin but his phone was out of reach. I tried more times but ended up with no answer.
I looked around the office, ready to shout for help, yet the moment something warm and wet began to pool beneath me had me in an instant panic.
"Oh god," I said under my breath and tried to move and check but a sharp pain shot me more in the stomach that it had me drop my phone and scream in the office.
Maybe I was too loud, I couldn't care less, because someone came rushing towards me and it was a co-worker from another department who seemed worried.
"Call an ambulance, please," I begged her, unable to move as I tried to calm myself. "Or take me to the hospital, please!"
She was quick to grab her phone and call for help while I was screaming, moaning, and crying in pain.
"Can you stand up?" She asked, and I shook my head.
"Oh god. I cannot carry you," she panicked, and helplessly looked at me.
"I also reached out to the office's clinic. Help is on the way," she assured me.
"Thank you," I managed to say despite the cramps.
It only took a couple of minutes, not even that long, before help has arrived and I was carried to a wheelchair, allowing me to see my blood stained seat.
No, please. Not again. What did I do wrong this time?
"Call my husband, please," I begged them as I was being transferred to the ambulance.
One medic has my phone and tried contacting him as we were on the way while others were asking me questions.
"I'm 13 weeks pregnant," I informed. I was continuously bleeding, I could feel it, lower abdomen cramping while I feel something coming out of me every now and then, probably clots, probably even my baby.
