Dr. Damon escorted Chase to the waiting room and Liam to Alex's room. Liam was informed Alex was probably asleep. That he should wait for her to wake up on her own. That her mind needed time to rest. Liam went into Alex's room as quietly as he could. He sat in the chair right next to her bed. He gently took her no longer chubby hand into his. She looked so frail laying in the hospital bed.

"Alex. When you wake up we have so much to talk about. I love you." Liam whispered resting his head on the side of Alex's bed. Her heart rate spiked a little.

"Liam...Liam...." Alex whispered in her sleep. When he lifted his head he could see tears flowing from her shut eyes. She was crying in her sleep over him and it made his chest ache with regret. He's said so many horrible things to her. Maybe she really didn't love him anymore. He hoped she did, but if she didn't he couldn't blame anyone, but himself.

Liam drifted off to sleep, sitting in an awkward position, but he didn't care he had Alex with him and that's all that mattered. He wasn't sure how much time had past, but he felt someone playing with his hair and when he opened his eyes. Alex's eyes were open and looking at him. Her hands stilled on his hair and she pulled her hand away, she looked afraid. As if he would hurt her. A pang of regret hit him, he hurt her emotionally. No wonder she looked scared.

"Alex! Thank god your okay. I was so worried." Liam admitted standing on his stiff legs leaning over and hugging her stiff form. She slowly relaxed into him and he felt his shoulder slowly getting wet. She was crying into his shoulder. Liam pulled back and cupped her face. He leant down and brushed his lips over her dry lips. Her breathing hitched and she stared at him wide eyes.

"I love you Alex. I always have. I was scared and angry. I am so sorry. I am so sorry you felt that you needed to hide this from me. I remember though. Last night I came to your apartment on the fifth floor and you were talking to Chase. I heard some of the conversation. I was taken off guard. I left to get some air and digest it all. The harder I tried to remember. I realized a dream I had wasn't a dream, but a memory. A memory of you and I. I can't believe I didn't remember. I'm sorry I hurt you. I love you Alex. I love you more than you'll ever realize." Liam admitted, he was emotional at this point and crying. His eyes were blurred in tears. He finally told her. He told her he still loved her.

"Is this a dream or have I died?" Alex asked with wide eyes. She was afraid she was dreaming. Liam was here and telling her, he was in love with her.

"This can't be real. I mean things like this only happen in movies." Alex was mumbling. She wasn't sure if she had finally gone mad or if this was really happening. She decided to go with it. She loved him and if he really was here she wasn't going to ask why. She needed him, she always needed him.

"I am here. I remember the night we both were drinking. I remember how you cried in relief when I said thank god. I am so sorry I reacted differently the next day. I wish I could take it all back. We've missed so much and it's time we miss no more. Am I making sense?" Liam asked, his mind was a mix or happiness and nervousness.

"Yeah somewhat. Are you only here because of the baby Liam?" Alex asked, she was unable to make eye contact. If he said yes, she didn't want to show him how vulnerable he made her. She wanted some dignity even though she had very little left. Liam put his fingers under her chin and lifted her head, he brushed her bangs from her eyes. He looked directly into her eyes and leaned forward. He pressed his lips to hers once again. He pulled back and smiled at her.

"Does that answer your question?" Liam said smiling at her.

"Can you tell me?" Alex said her voice just above a whisper, her palms were sweaty and her was unable to keep still. She needed to hear him say it.
