~~~Andie's POV~~~
A year has passed, and new memories were made, a new addition to the family, I'm the school punching bag, and new secrets are told. My walls were recently painted white, and I grabbed the paint out of my closet and began with some new memories.
My first memory which is the best of all of them. The new addition to the family. I painted Kyle, Johnnie, me and Amanda. Amanda was the new addition. She eight years old and is such a sweetheart. They adopted her a week ago.
She had blonde hair and blue eyes. She's tall for her age that she could pass for nine or ten years old. Her background was about as bad as mine maybe a little worse. That girl went through so much her parents would abuse her and her father would... well you get the picture.
She is working on getting us to Johnnie and Kyle. When she first saw me, we clicked instantly. I know I'll protect her with everything I had I wasn't going to let anyone hurt her.
"Andie?" I turned to see Amanda standing at the door rubbing her eyes.
"What are you doing up so early?"
"I-I had a nightmare and daddies are asleep,"
"You want to sleep in here with me?" I asked, and she nodded.
I placed my brush down and walked over to her. I picked her up and laid in the bed with her. I reached over and turned off the lights.
"Thanks, Andie," She cuddled into my side, and I smiled and held her close to me.
"I love you,"
"I love you too, Amanda,"
~~~The Next Morning~~~
I wake up to Amanda's face buried in my chest a wet spot formed on my shirt, and I knew she was crying.
"Amanda, are you okay?" I asked rubbing her back, and she tensed up.
"Amanda, it's okay."
"H-he keeps popping up,"
"In your dreams?" She nodded.
"You're away from him he will never hurt you again,"
"W-where is he now?" She asked, and I wasn't about to tell her he was in jail.
"That bad man is away now. You don't need to worry about him anymore. Kyle, Johnnie and I are here for you," She looked up at me and smiled.
"Let's go make Johnnie and Kyle some breakfast,"
~~~In The Kitchen~~~
"Amanda will you grab the eggs," She nodded and pulled the eggs out.
"Thanks," I grabbed an egg and cracked it into the pan.
"Grab the juice and start pouring them,"
I grabbed four cups and placed them onto the table. I helped her pour the juice.
"Are they going to like it?" She asked.
"Of course they are, why wouldn't they?"
"Because the eggs are burning," She giggled.
I quickly grabbed the pan off the burner and placed it to the side grabbing a different pan. I did the same thing like last time this time paying attention to the way they were cooking.
"Let's not tell them about that," I laughed.
~~~To The Parents Room~~~
Amanda quietly opened the door for me Kyle and Johnnie were still asleep.
"Can I wake them up?"
"Be my guest," She ran and jumped on the bed landing on top of Kyle.
"Wake up, wake up,"
Kyle groaned and opened his eyes he looked over at me and smiled.
"What did you and Andie do?"
"We made you and daddy breakfast, and Andie burned the eggs the first time,"
"That was supposed to be our secret,"
"I'm sorry Andie," She giggled.
"Well let's wake Johnnie up," Amanda giggled and jumped onto Johnnie.
Giggling as she jumped on top of him Johnnie groan and buried his head into the pillow.
"Oh, no you don't," Kyle started to tickle his side causing Johnnie to giggle and jerked around.
I laughed and placed the tray down on the side table joined them on the bed.
"Okay, I'm up,"
For the rest of the morning, we laughed around Kyle and Johnnie took Amanda and me to our first amazement park. I'm happy to say I'm glad to be part of this family.
