Lauren's P.O.V.

Luke and I have developed a long distance friendship and so far it has been going strong. He even told me that he'll be in L.A. with some friends for their week off. Thank god, I was staying with my dad for a while because I hated it back in our old crammed house. He even told me he might stop by to have a little meet up with me. And I'm literally excited to see him since my summer vacation is almost ending.

My brother kept apologizing to me for the phone call he made and I just told him it wasn't a big deal. He was even shocked that I said thank you.

I received a text from Luke saying he'll meet me at the beach. And I said sure, he even said he wanted to go swimming with me so I just told him whatever.

Once again, my over protective brother wanted to tag along just incase Luke was a dick so this time he could beat him up this time. Even though it was ridiculous, he just brought his girlfriend so it wasn't too awkward.

I got dressed in my two piece swim suit and wore my shorts and a white shirt. I packed sun block just in case.

We then left and went to the beach which was a short walk from dad's house. It was bright and sunny today and we weren't the only ones who wanted to go outside and get a dip in the sea.

"Lauren!" I heard a familiar voice from behind me.

"Luke!" I shouted back and I gave him a hug. He was too tall, I was a 5 foot 7 and he was a 6 foot 4.

My brother then came to us, and so did Luke's friends. I recognized them since they were from my favorite band.

"No funny business, Lucas-"

"Mike, it's actually Luke," I sigh.

"Whatever, so Luke no funny business. And if you hurt my little sister I'll fucking beat you up you hear me?" He threatened.

"Yes, sir." Luke answered.

With Mike's nod of approval we were allowed to hang out now while he was on a short notice date.

"Don't mind him really," I whisper to Luke.

We walked to the beach and sat under their umbrella. I guess they were here earlier than I thought. I set my things down before taking a picture of the beach and posted it on Instagram.

It was kind of awkward finally meeting Luke face to face, along with his band mates. I wasn't quite used to talking to other people because I'm very timid around other people.

"Uh..."

"Yes, I know it's awkward," he said then laughed. I smiled at him. I liked how he would laugh and how his dimples would show when he did so.

I seemed to notice Michael and Calum laughing and Ashton staring at girls walking around. I wanted to flick his arm but I just grinned.

"He's starring at the girl," I whispered to Luke who laughed as well.

"He tends to do that," Luke whispered back.

It was fun catching up with Luke, like really catching up. Taking personally to him feels better than talking in iMessage because I know that he's more sincere and I could tell that he's telling the truth. He's pretty much not a dick so Mike can back off now.

"We should get going and meet up with up with the others at the pizza place," Ashton said.

We all stood up from the blanket and made a small walk to the pizza place near the docks. Luke had his arm around my waist and I leaned into his arm. He was sort of asking for it so I just did it. He smiled down at me but quickly looked up once again. I giggled and just kept walking with him.
