Lauren's P.O.V.
It has been a week and so far I'm doing great. My vacation with my father and my brothers were almost over which makes me quite upset. It felt better staying here. I wish I could just transfer here instead of living with my sisters - I love them equally it's just getting too old. And the airport was nearer here anyway.
Which reminds me of next month, goddamn it.
We had four days left in L.A. and then we have to go back to Sacramento. I've really grown attached to this place in a short amount of time. Maybe it was just the beaches, the sunset, the people, my family, and everything in general. It was much better here, why couldn't mom just suck it in and try to make up with dad. I know it's not my business, but at least they should try.
"What song are you listening to?" I ask Dani. It was at least three in the afternoon, and the others left us for some quality time.
"It's Gotta Get Out by this band called 5 Seconds Of Summer. It's a good song," she says, showing me her phone. I nodded before looking for it on iTunes so I could download it.
Dani and I share almost the same taste in music so maybe I'd like this song. Once I found it, I downloaded it and charged it to mom's card - hope she doesn't mind though.
An hour later, I found myself hooked with this band's music. They're pretty actually so I ended getting more songs of their's. Dani also loved it so we spent the afternoon downloading more songs. This was one of the only times we've bonded through music and it felt really good.
"Hey muggles," Lisa greets us as she comes inside, followed by the others. "What have you guys been up to?" She asks, taking a seat beside me.
"Music, and stuff," Dani answered.
I noticed that Alex was carrying a cake, I wanted to know why but I was too tired to ask.
----
"How did you guys know?" I asked them. Turns out the cake was for me because of that contest I won.
"Four little birdies told us," Alex chuckled giving me a slice of my cake.
I smiled and enjoyed the cake. Now I know how it feels to have a complete family - excluding parents at the moment. I didn't know my siblings would care that much about that stupid contest since it was pointless for me.
I've been receiving texts from Liam and I ignored them all. It was best that I did, didn't want to get attached with them again, ever.
"Lauren, can I talk to you?" Mike asked me. I nodded and followed him to the backyard for privacy.
"What do you want-"
"Christina told me," he blurted out quickly.
I tilted my head to the side, confused with what he's trying to point out.
"Don't act like it didn't happen. With that, Harry guy," he said, quite angrily. I shrugged and looked down.
Oh great thanks for the reminder.
"He's gone now, doesn't matter anyway."
"If he hurt you, I'll literally kill the-"
'I said it doesn't matter!" I shouted at him. I kept my fists to my sides and kept my tears from falling. I'm not gonna show him how week I am - still. "He fucking left! I don't want to remember him because I want to forget..."
He looked dumbfounded by this and just frowned at me. I guess I was crying now. I could feel the heat in my cheeks and the constriction of my throat. He gave me a hug and just kept me in.
