Lauren's P.O.V.

Later that day I had a little interaction with One Direction. I found it really strange that they would stop in the middle of the streets to talk to a stranger who is me.  I'm really thankful for their kindness and welcoming. They even brought me to an ice cream parlor and talked with me for a bit. It was amazing how open they are and how chill their personalities are.

They even let me take a picture with them and they signed my phone case. Today was really great knowing that from tears and hurt feelings, I got to meet my idols. I found it really sweet that Harry was affectionate that day, yet he just said he was being kind.

What was great was that they  drove me back home. They gave me a hug and a good bye before getting into their car again. Harry stayed for a little longer and talked to me.

"So hey, I hope things get better." He says with that bright smile of his.

"I hope so to. It was great meeting you guys." I reply back. There was nothing else I could say but thank you.

He looks like his cheeks were pink and flushed. I didn't tell him or anything, I just stared.

"Yeah, you too." He mumbles. He was playing with his fingers so I just wanted to leave since I'm wasting his time.

"I have to go." I told him as I was about to open the door.

"Oh wait, here." He handed me his number and I stared back at him. "I just wanted to keep contact- if it was okay with you." He chuckles a bit.

"Sure, I'll make sure to keep that in mind." I assure him. "Well bye." I said, giving him one last hug.

I went inside, ready to burst into squeals. Before I could even do so, I came face to face with Christina, mom, and Amy. I sighed in defeat, slipping the number into my pocket so I can keep it to myself.

Christina looks mad, mom looks worried, Amy looks upset, what have I done? I'm completely lost, what happened while I was gone? Besides the fact that I overheard Amy and Christina.

"Where have you been?" Mom asks, with slight irritation in her voice.

"I was- I was outside, completely up-"

"She was out with boys." Christina spat out, completely true but that is not the whole story.

Mom shook her head while Amy shot glares at Christina. You can feel the tension in this room just but looking at them.

"True, but I was outside because I was upset! I overheard Christina and Amy arguing about me, and Christina was sayi g these profanities!" I shout because clearly this was going to end unfairly.

"Lies," Christina rolled her eyes at me.

"Well, if Lauren is lying then she should be grounded." Mom sighs. Is she seriously siding with Christina?

No! She can't just side with her, just because she's older. C'mon, there's no justice in any of this.

I look at Amy, pleading she say something to get me out of this situation. Instead she looks away from me.

I guess no one will save me now. It'll just end up like always. I'm in trouble, they're not. I'm grounded and they're free. They really do despise me, don't they?

I walked passed them, about to go up to my room.

"Mom..." Amy spoke up.

"Yes dear?" Mom's eyes are directed to Amy this time.

"Lauren was...telling the truth. Christina was lying, please don't ground Lauren." Amy said weakly, but enough for everyone to hear since the others were listening from the dining room.
