Lauren's P.O.V.

I can't deny one thing, I'm a mess when it comes to my stuff. Either way, I find it a while later after looking.

My iPod was blasting out some music and at the moment I thought it was What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction. I loved the band, but I never praised them as more than a band. I can say that they're my escape, other than singing.

I had school today, but I had no plans on hurrying myself. It'll just end up me getting yelled at by my mom or siblings. Dad was never home so he hasn't witnessed anything as much. There were minor encounters, but he just let it slip.

"Being the way that you are is enough..." I sing softly as I packed my notebook and pens.

"You better hurry up!" Dani shouts from out my door. She really doesn't hate me, but she tries to.

I just slung my bag over my shoulder and walked downstairs, passing her. Really, she hates me yet, I'm the older sister.

My trip downstairs was not any better. Christina, Katherine, Lisa, and Amy were already at the table eating. Usually I'd be first to eat, but I was just slow today.

I make my way to a seat, but Christina places her bag there. I sigh and just as I was about to put her bag down, she slapped my hand.

"My bag's seated here." She groaned, rolling her eyes. She's extra mean today, compared to other days, she just stood up and left.

"Uhm, I'll just head over to school." I stutter. I grabbed an apple on my way out. No one bothered to say good bye, so why even stay.

In this neighborhood I only had one friend and that was Rachel. We never walked to school together since her mom drove her nearly everyday. Usually we just meet up by our lockers and hang out until bell rings.

With every bite of this apple I got sick in the stomach. It doesn't taste good, nor does it help my appetite at all. I just threw it away, hoping I had enough energy to last until lunch today.

Once I'm at school I walk to my locker, seeing Rachel beat me to it. She had the prettiest blonde hair that was long. Her eyes were a beautiful shade of hazel though. She waved at me with a smile on her face.

"Good morning." She greeted happily, like she was floating on cloud 9 or something.

"Are you okay?" I ask her chuckling, while I shove my books in my locker.

"Just perfect." She's day dreaming this time. Typical Rachel.

Maybe I'm just bitter today, since she was feeling bubbly and sweet.

"Is it about that guy..."

She looked straight at me, with crimson cheeks. I laugh and just pat her on the back.

Rachel was a hopeless romantic when it came to boys. She always fell in love, and got the boy but she ended up heartbroken by the end of the month. People probably thought she was a whore for having tons of guys and she's only in year 11. I knew better than others since she was my friend.

"Good luck then." I tell her before walking to the next class, and just at the same time the bell rung.
