Harry's P.O.V.
I felt like I was being held back, like I was bounded. I tried opening my eyes, but it felt so painful seeing the bright light that came from the ceiling. Groaning, I tried to sit up even if it felt hard to do so.
"You're awake," someone sighs beside me. I looked over to my side, and I saw Lauren. She looked sort of different, more matured, and she dyed her hair - ombre style. She was still beautiful and radiant as ever.
"Hi." I say softly. I tried breathing deeply, but every time I did, my chest hurts.
"I'm glad you're okay...well not okay like okay. But at least you're awake now." She says, giving the small smile I like.
"How long have I been...out for?"
"Almost a year," she answers.
I blinks my eyes multiple times, trying to wake up from this sort of nightmare. Almost a year, that's how long I've been gone. I've missed a lot of things in my life, I've ruined the tour - ruined it for a lot of fans. And Kendall...well fuck that.
"It's April 13th today, if you were wondering." She adds, giving me a comforting rub on the back.
"I've been gone for so long..." I said shakily.
"All I can say is that, I'm sorry." She finally says before standing up and walking to the door.
"Where are you going?" I ask sadly.
"Giving you the space you deserve," she says curtly before slamming the door and leaving.
Please don't leave me.
I sigh and laid back in my bed. Rolling to my side and looking out the window. It's been over like what, 11 months? I've missed so much in my life. The days, the months, and the people I've come to miss even if I hate them.
Maybe because of the heroic deed I did, I ended up here, alone in a white walled room in a hospital. Everything was blurry to me at the moment, the only thing I remember was when I jumped and pushed Lauren out of the way. I don't remember why I did, but it was for a good reason, no doubt about it.
The door opened and I tensed up a bit. I hoped it was Lauren, but it was just a nurse, followed by a doctor. I sighed and just rolled over to my other side of the bed.
"You're awake!" The nurse shrieked and gave me a hug. I appreciated her gesture but I didn't smile at all.
"Well this is good, you can be discharged from the hospital later this afternoon." The doctor said strictly, nodding at the nurse. The nurse went out and came back a minute later with a woman behind her. It was, of course, my mother.
"Hi." I greet her.
"Harry, oh my...you're awake...I-" she says shakily, letting the tears roll down her cheek. She engulfed me in a tight hug so I hug her bag. No matter how much I hated being near my mother, I've missed her hugs, I've missed her voice the most.
The door shut, so I assumed the doctor and nurse left us alone for the meanwhile. My mom let go and just looked at me with concerned eyes.
"I know what you did." She says with a smile.
"I did the right thing, I suppose." I say bluntly.
"Yes you did, but it's time for you to take a short rest." She tells me.
"What do you mean?"
"Maybe a few months of from this band, come home with me. I just want you to be safe and not hurt Harry. It's been years since I've last talked to you, and I just want my son home. Please?" She looked like she was about to begin crying again. Her eyes were glistening and her hand gripping my hand.
