Chapter 4

Lauren's P.O.V.

It was Friday that week and school was almost over. Through the halls all you can hear is this party somewhere, I don't know. I guess everyone's going except me, again. I never go to these things since it's basically not even worth it. Every is not even legal, only a few, and they get drunk. What's so fun about that?

Rachel walks up to me in the halls and I notice Jaimee talking to other people. I am thankful for Rachel though, she never leaves me behind whatsoever.

"Are you coming tonight?" Rachel asks me, all excited. Should have known.

"No," I say, almost walking away from here. She grabbed on my shoulder though before I could leave.

I would have declinedbut she had those pleading eyes. I bit my bottom lip, trying not to give in, but I did.

She was glad but I wasn't making any promised that I would. I walked away then. I didn't to their type of scene, but they were my friends, and I couldn't change that if I could.

I was walking home when I noticed that I was leaving early. Oh well. I would rather be grounded than to attend that horrid party.

Luckily mom was still at work when I got home. But I was unlucky since Lisa was there. She didn't have classes today, bummer. I never like communicating with anyone in my family since I was just a waste of space to them. I just quickly made my way upstairs without making her notice. She was just watching t.v. and eating popcorn.

Later that day, Rachel kept pestering me with texts asking me where I was. I ignore half of them and just replied "grounded :(" and left our conversation.

This night I was supposed to be at the movies with them, but they chose to party instead. I don't blame them if they found me extremely lame. So instead of dwelling in my thoughts about how boring this night will be, I just grabbed a pen and my  notebook and wrote something down.
