Haven's POV:
I opened my eyes allowing a bright light to blind me. Once I got adjusted I tried to sit up from my position laying down, but once I tried my side started to hurt. I gripped my side and turned my attention to my side. And along my stomach I saw nothing but a hospital gown. WAIT A HOSPITAL GOWN?!?!? I thought. why am I in a hospital. "hello?" I said having a raspy croak come from my mouth. I swallowed some saliva to moisten my throat. "Hello?" I asked again being able to say it louder and much clearer. I got frustrated and scared once I didn't hear anyone answer. Perfect I don't know why I'm here, what happened and no one is coming to inform me. "HELLO!!! I screamed louder "HELP ME SOMEBODY!!!!" I screamed again louder even I would have thought I was crazy."Are you okay? Miss.Matthews." A nurse asked stepping into the room. "Why am I here? what happened?" I rushed. "Miss. Matthews you need some rest, before I tell you." She cooled walking over to my bed checking my I.V bag. "I just woke up, I got plenty of rest." I spoke. "I meant for your broken ribs." She said going to the cabinets pulling out some things. " Broken ribs?" I questioned. "The doctor will come to inform you about your injuries, but I need to change your bandage." The nurse said I gave in I mean she's only doing her job. I sighed and slowly say up with her help, in a matter of minutes the bandage was changed and the nurse had left me and my lonely soul in the hospital room. I dazed off at the blank walls, listening to the beeping and the constant footsteps in the halls. It felt as if hours had passed until the doctor came.
"Miss.Matthews, i am Dr.Wright, do you remember anything that happened?" Dr.Wright asked with a clipboard in his hand. "No, no one will tell me either." I said as he scribbled something down. "well you have two broken ribs on your right side, a few stitches on your legs, and some minor cuts on your face." He informed me. "wow...How did it happen?" I asked "you were in a bad car accident." Dr.Wright said looking at me with pity eyes. "Was anyone else hurt?.. was it my fault?" I asked "Yes another person that was in the car with you. And it wasn't your fault you weren't the driver." He informed me. "who was the driver. "Mason Hunt, I'm guessing you two were a couple." Dr.Wright told me. "I don't know anyone names Mason." I said confused. Who was Mason? why were we driving together? is he okay? I finally brought myself to ask the dr my questions. "Is he okay?" I asked my voice cracking. "he is fine he has a few bandages but nothing major, you two are very lucky and I know a lot of this maybe confusing to you, but in a matter of time you should have you memory back." Dr.Wright said with a pity smile. I returned the smile and he was out the room.
Mason has been on my kind all day. Even when my parents came to see me. It's funny I remember them just Mason doesn't ring a bell. Some nurses have stopped by to check on me since they kicked my parents out, apparently they have this rule that no visitors are allowed after hours. So I'm stuck in a room by myself confused, nobody to talk to and most of all staring down at this ring on my finger. It's actually beautiful, sadly I don't remember where I got it from, or who gave it to me. I was trailed out of my deep thoughts when the sound of the hospital door opened. "Miss.Matthews, someone wants to see you." The doctor said "I thought visiting hours was over." I said sitting up slowly. "I think I can make an exception for this one." He smiled opening the door again having a boy with brown hair and pale skin walk in or wheel in since he was in a wheelchair. "Who are you?" I asked. the smile that they boy once was wearing when he wheeled in was gone. "II'm Mason, remember?" He said cracking his voice. "No I'm sorry, I have heard about you, I just can't remember I'm sorry." I told him honestly feeling bad that I can't remember him. "It's not your fault, can I stay and talk?" He asked me wheeling in closer to my bed. "sure." I answered with a smile. "great." He smiled back.
the doctor had left the two of us alone and Mason and I talked. I learned that we were dating and we had just gotten engaged, then the accident happened. I'm upset that I can't remember hopefully I do soon.
