*next morning, day 44*

I wake up to the sound of gunfire, and immediately I jump out of bed and run out into the lounge area.
No one is there, but I hear yelling.
I race to the front door and burst outside into the blinding sunlight where I spot Austin, Alan and Trent pointing their guns up towards a window. I follow their gaze and see a man in black, also pointing a gun down at us.
"Nori get over here!" Yells Austin and I jog over, forgetting I'm wearing short shorts, and a shirt with no bra.

"What's happening?" I say confused, and crossing my arms.

"You know how we thought someone had already been here?" Says Alan,
"Looks like we were right."

"Is there any more of you!?" Yells the mysterious man, he sounds middle aged, but he sounds familiar, and I know Trent thinks that too because he's lowering his gun.

"No, that's it." Yells Trent taking his aim again,

"How long has this been going on?" I whisper to Trent,

"Just a few minutes," he says.

"We don't want any trouble, we just needed a place to stay," I yell at the man, and Austin tells me to hush.

"I've heard that one before," he says re adjusting his aim and shifting around,
"How do I know you're not lying?"

"Put your weapons down," I say to the boys,

"What are you, crazy!?" Says Trent,

"Kinda," I say wiggling my eyebrows at him and he turns red, and Alan gives us a weird look.

"If we put our guns down, he'll trust us," I say

"Yeah, or shoot us," says Austin still holding his gun,

"We could be doing this all day, or we can put our weapons down," I say,

"I like that one," says the man jokingly, well, he mustn't be so serious and mean looking after all.

Austin sighs and sits his gun on the ground, and the rest follow.

"Better?" I yell.

*moments later*

The man walks toward us from his building, still masked and holding his gun while we stand a meter away from our weapons which we dropped.
He's wearing ripped jeans, stained with blood and a black jumper, which looks like a scarf wrapping from his neck around his head to cover himself.

He stops 10 meters from us, and begins to unravel his mask, when I hear Trent gasp next to me.

"Commander!" He yells running forward and giving him a a man hug, you know how they do it, all their strength goes into patting each other forcefully on the back.

"Lieutenant Trent, nice to see you again," he says smiling at him,

"You don't happen to be Nori do you?" Says this man looking over Trent's shoulder,

I nod, slightly confused.

"Ah! Trent used to talk all about you back at the safe zone!" He says chuckling, and Trent goes red.

"Okay, enough. Did the captain make it?" Asks Trent,

"No, sadly. I escaped with a few others, but it's just me now," he says looking upset,

"Well, I'm glad we found each other!" Says Trent giving him another pat on the back,

"This is Austin and Alan, they came to the safe zone with Nori," says Trent pointing to us, and Alan and Austin just stand silently beside me,

"No hard feelings boys?" Says the commander smiling,

"It's okay, atleast you didn't shoot," says Alan jokingly,

"Haha yeah, I was close to doing it," says the commander and Austin glares at Alan looking pretty scared.

"Well, would you's like to come in?" Says the commander as he points to the building he came from,

"Sure," says Austin cautiously,

"I'll meet you's there," I say "I'm going to change into something more appropriate."

I jog back to the house and change and go to the bathroom where suddenly I feel extremely dizzy and almost fall over, but I stop myself with colliding with the floor by grabbing onto the sink.

"Yo, Nori," I hear Alan say, he must've followed me back,

"Oh, are you okay?" He says walking into the bathroom,

"Yeah, just had a major dizzy spell," I say,

"Well don't fall over on me, but the commander has sandwiches! That means bread! God it's been so long since I've had bread-" says Alan continuing his bread obsession as he leaves the house and I follow feeling pretty crappy.
