To Define a Lord

A/N: Realized this way too late, but I was supposed to keeping using 'we' and 'our' for Chimera's pronouns, something I put in an earlier chapter. There's too much written up till now to justify spending the time going back to fix it all. I'll be sticking with 'I' for his main body, but 'we' and 'our' may still make appearances from time-to-time. I figured I'd do that rather than keep screwing it up, cause I was doing it a lot, however, if you the reader think it's important I will make a note to do it going forwards. I'm sorry, not enough time on my hands to go back and fix all the little details.

2 Months Later:

"This Minor Assembly of the Tower of Gods is now in session," Anna said aloud to the gathering of Lords and Monarchs, minus the Kaiju Lord. "On the docket is just one topic. The implementation of a Lordly Classification System. So far, this proposal has been made into a cursory document for us to center the conversation around."

The table gave each member a copy. That included the Eternal Lord, who sat across from Izuku with a smug confidence that fit his young adult body. There would be no eliminating him from the conference this time around.

"Only took us like 2 decades to get to this chat," Tenko said, his feet up on the table, a fact that bothered Cathleen immensely.

"Survival comes first, child," Shigaraki, of all people, scolded. "I'm not going to doom the Faded just so we can officiate the Lordly induction."

"But you would doom your own people if it got you to your goal, right?" Izuku asked, probing a section of time for answers on the Eternal Lord's ultimate plan.

"I will use the Faded to accomplish a goal, yes. But I will not use them without purpose. To suggest I would end them all on a whim is to invalidate all I have accomplished, to reduce me to a simple villain who cannot see the waves behind a Leviathan," Shigaraki complained, using this world's version of 'missing the forest for the trees.'

Instead of arguing the point, Izuku just nodded, happy with the insight. Shigaraki looked almost offended by his carefree acceptance.

"Get on with it!" Tenko shouted, pointing to Anna.

True to her Xsian heritage, the greatest entrepreneurial country in Estaria, she remained a stone-cold businesswoman, not indicating that the interruption or the rude request bothered her. "I will perform a brief overview once everyone is finished reading so we're on the same page, and then we will open up the topic to discussion. Please save questions and concerns for the end." Anna left no room for debate as everyone began and then finished reading.

"There are three important distinctions for Lords. Lords with Factors, Lords without Factors, and self-proclaimed Lords.

The first is very obvious, these are the Lords with official blessings that designate them as a type of Lord. Factors obtained from sources outside the Gods will count as official, just so long as it is a Factor and not a Magic or Item. This precludes someone like Momo Yorozu Reix from being considered a "pure" Lord, as her power is the result of an item and she is not in possession of Factor. But she can still be classified as a Lord since her power is significant enough to challenge other Lords."

"Lords without Factors will be Lords determined by the existing delegations of the Tower of the Gods. Self-proclaimed Lords, those seeking titles, may test themselves against already officiated Lords. The Lords will then make a case for or against the individual being elevated to a Lord. Voting will be a majority basis and any criteria can be used. Questions?"

"Can bribes be used?" Shigaraki was the first to sneak his way into the discussion that was about to take place.

"Of course you would ask that!" Goto shouted at the Eternal Lord, but it was remarkably jovial in nature. More like he was insulting his brother than a staunch enemy.
