"Cole, don't come any closer, I have a knife!"

"Danny, stop being such a coward! Put down the knife and come face me like a man!"

I pursed my lips, "um no. I'm not a man."

"Gah, you know what I mean Idiot!"

"Smirk, calm down. Being angry isn't good for you, it raises your blood pressure. In fact, your face is even starting to turn purple..." I smirked.

I couldn't help myself, it was all just too funny. Cole had taken longer than I thought he would to chase me down and corner me than I'd thought he would, but when he had... Well, he was more than a little angry.

I'd nearly choked on laughter when I'd first seen him, no matter how much he'd looked like he was going to kill me. His hair, being the light blond that it is, had absorbed the purple nicely, turning his head a dark fuchsia. His skin- especially his face, neck, shoulders, back and chest- was a light purple, almost pink colour. He looked kind of like one of those dip-dyed Easter eggs.

"Seriously Danny, I can't go to school tomorrow with purple hair! What am I supposed to do?" Cole exclaimed.

"Um, wear a paper bag on your head?" I suggested innocently.

Cole narrowed his eyes at me for a second before pulling his infamous smirk, "I don't think the population of Kelldon can handle four days of not seeing this face though, purple or not."

I cocked my head to the side, "four days?"

"Um yeah. Tomorrow is Friday and after Friday comes the weekend which consists of two days. They didn't get to see me today cause I wasn't there, they won't get to see me tomorrow if I wear a bag on my head, and no one goes to school on the weekend. The students of Kelldon will all start to suffer from Cole Deprivation if they have to go four days without me" Cole explained.

"Yes, I'm sure that the students of Kelldon can't live without you" I rolled my eyes.

"What can I say? Everyone loves me!" Cole grinned.

"Not everyone" I muttered in a sing-song voice.

"Danny, I don't believe you one bit when you say that. I mean, even you had it written all over your face that you loved me not too long ago" Cole said gleefully.

"Hmmm... whoever wrote it must have been mistaken then" I replied playfully.

Cole scrunched up his nose at me which, I must admit, looked kind of cute. He didn't seem to have a good come back, so I grinned, feeling like a winner, and turned back to my chopping. Even though it was supposed to be Brody, Jock and I making dinner, Brody and Jock had given up twenty minutes ago and headed to the living room to play video games with Ashton. Normally, I wouldn't mind, but this time, they'd left me alone to fend off Cole.

"You know Danny, I'm sorry your date with Caleb didn't turn out the way you hoped it would" Cole broke the silence.

I shrugged, "it's alright, I guess it's just a sign that Caleb and I are better off as friends."

"Yeah, but I put all that work into making sure you learned how to flirt and the he blew it" Cole pouted.

"Cole, you really didn't put that much work into-"

"Which is why I want to take you out this weekend. You deserve to have a good, non awkward date during which nothing gets spit on you, even if it means you have to go out with me" he finished.

My hand froze mid chop, knife hovering over the cutting board. I admit, it would be nice to not have someone spit tea in my face in the middle of a date, but did I want to go out with Cole? At least when I first met Cole, I knew for a fact that he hated me but now that he had shared Tessa with me and we'd started to get closer... I wasn't really sure where we stood anymore.

"Look Danny, I know the idea of going out with a friend isn't exactly the same, but we can still have a good time" Cole said.

That was when I made my decision. I made it the second my heart fluttered at the sound of Cole calling us friends.

"Then let's not go as friends" I set down the knife and turned to face him, "let's just go as Danny and Cole... and then see where that takes us."

Cole gave me a full blown, heart stopping grin, "deal."

Hey, so I'm super jittery but excited and I was actually laughing the whole time I was writing this chapter!

Why, you may ask?

Well, my best guy friend whom I also really like just asked me out for this weekend and I pretty much just died right there. I'm extremely happy right now and just super flustered and just... everything is crazy! I couldn't help but laugh as I wrote this chapter though cause Cole asks Danny out in it and that's literally what just happened with me and him (although our conversation didn't go exactly the same and there were no kitchen knives involved! XP)

So, yeah, I'm on cloud nine right now and I just felt the need to spread the happiness so I decided to update for all you who were asking me to :D

SO just... yeah!! I can't even think I'm just so over the moon :P

K, I'll stop rambling now and let you all move on with your lives :P
