Mckayla
~"Fuck." Usually after a shift, my muscles would feel as if massaged thoroughly all night. Tonight I had the opposite palpation. My muscles ached, stiffening, and every part of my body felt ignited. My insides hurt with keen pain as if every artery lacerated causing off mini explosions like black powder spitting out chaos.
Grimacing, I rolled to my side with dirt over most of my naked body and hair. It looked like I rolled in the soil all night, having a dirt bath. I was highly aware of where I was at. This was the cave I had found my daughter in when first officially meeting her. Since that night, we would come here every once in a while as our special place.
Unfortunately, I didn't make it inside the cave falling asleep right outside it.
The moon was high above me; the only light for me to recognize. When I gazed around there was nothing else close enough to brighten my ambiance. My enhanced sight was good enough to see but I didn't care to go anywhere so I scooted over to the outer wall of the cave resting against it.
My ears picked up a sound and I used my nose to smell who it was.
I didn't bother moving.
"Ah knew ye was fecking clothless." Rosalie sneered closing her eyes, than using her hand to cover them further. She was being dramatic. "Ah ain't gay or anything...but I wouldn't want my great grammy to be thinkin I was checkin ye out."
I snorted not truly amused by anything. I saw a frown appear through the hovering of her hand over her face.
Rosalie could be a huge pest at times. "Where is Elena?" I would have thought she'd come looking for me.
When Rosalie did not answer, making me stand much faster than my body was ready for. I groaned ignoring the pain that shot through me as I put on the clothes she brought me. Once I was done I asked her again.
Rosalie only stared for a long moment building up my impatience. "Where did she go?"
She sighed and that made me frown further. "She decided to leave for a bit. There are things she needs to be doing anyway."
"Like what?" I snarled throaty with anger waking my hybrid.
Stepping back defensively Rosalie sighed loudly. "Don't...yell at me," she said coolly. "Ah am only the messenger."
I paced not sure of how to place my feelings. What made her leave? She knew I was still struggling with my feeding but she still left. My eyes shifted to Rosalie.
"She thought it would be easier...if she gave ye space." Rosalie walked over to me, hesitant at first. "Elena will always do the right thing." Her words were spoken carefully.
I said nothing further turning to head back to my pack.
"Wait..." I ignored Rosalie and she sped in front of me blocking my path.
I growled, exposing my teeth.
"Ye need to feed."
"I'm not hungry," I said dismissively.
"Then why is ye fangs standing out for me to see?...all scary and...aggressive."
"I'm not hungry." My voice thicken. "I'm angry...and my wolf comes out when I feel that anger."
Rosalie shrugged. "Ye hybrid now. Half vampire." Rosalie did not back down, only standing straighter. "As a vampire...when we're vexed...we get hungry."
In unnatural speed I moved up to her, grabbing her shirt snarling in her face. "Back off," I growled.
"Or. What?" Her eyes gazed back at me challenging. "Ye not going to hurt me because I'm family now. More than that, Elena would not be pleased and ye wouldn't want to hurt her." She continued to ramble on, not worried with a smirk on her face. "Ah am quite the safest in ye care."
