Mckayla
~Everyone that I called out to hunt with me stood in front of the house. I let my toes dig into the soil beneath me. There was mostly hard soil everywhere I stepped but this was the softest patch of soil I could find. It was relaxing.
My hybrid needed to connect with nature. I lowered to my knees, prompt up as I allowed my hybrid to guide me to the ability I needed to utilize tonight.
"Wait...Kayla..."My eyes staid shut, responding to Cormic's interruption with a dry tone. "What?"
"Can you still astral project?"
I opened up only one of my eyes. He was serious. Gradually, a smile blossomed out.
"You can astral project?" Rogue crossed her arms over her chest mad that she never knew.
"Rogue...it never came up."
"But it did with Cormic," she responded hurt that I left her out of that part of my life.
I turned to Cormic asking for a little help. He gave it without hesitation.
"Now sis...you smothered Kayla about everything when you two were together.""I did not..." Rogue quieted noticing everyone's eyes on her. "Never mind."
"To answer your question Cormic...I can astral project...with more than two sets of bodies."
"Shit." He nodded impressed and I grunted with a smile.
"Isn't that dangerous?"
I turned to Nina taking my time in responding. She had a right to know the truth. "Takes a very big meal. But...it can be. I would only astral project if I absolutely needed to."
"Like?" Nina was persisting.
Rogue and a few others watched my response.
I kept my heartbeat steady and rhythmic. I spoke with a quiet exhale. "We're going on a hunt now...but say if someone tried to attack my pack here...I would astral project with a few to help protect you all."
After I gave her my answer I waited for more questions. Nina only looked away and I took that as a sign she was done.
I closed my eyes, bringing myself back to what I was originally trying to do. The air whisk around me, like flowing air circulating. Everyone waited, not sure of my plans, not something I wanted to share. It was a gift only to be seen.
I called out to my hybrid, the shadow of her. The part that mirrored our flesh through spirit. My eyes ignited gold than a rush of sapphire stormed like a shooting star bursting through the sky. The ferocious pant of my hot breath, echoed from my mouth witg a howl beautiful and melodic beginning from the depths of my belly, through the strength of my lungs, traveling up my chest and out for all within this State to here. And I meant, this entire State.
I howled, vibration in my throat and chest as I called out to every Were I could reach in Arizona.
My pack eyes widen, feeling the power that sent electric waves of energy, coursing through them. Gradually, my howl dissipated like a the sound a guitar would make after hitting a string. It still lingered voluminous, even after my mouth closed for several seconds more, finally draining to an end.
I wanted to send a message to every rogue...rather good or bad in my State. My hybrid wanted to take control but this was not a skill she knew. This was something I learned long before.
I spoke in a melodic soft voice. "I am thee...Alpha of Arizona. All of Arizona. I will only give one warning." I purposely paused, building up a theatrical intensity in my next few statements. I wanted my words to come across clear. With the way I sat up on my knees, head tilted up, and eyes now closed, I looked like I was praying. This was a conversation I was holding in a spiritual sense. "For those of you...who has and intends on continuing to cause harm within my State. I give one warning in telling you...if you don't stop...my pack and I will find you and kill you on site."
