Mckayla
Karen's wolf was young and untrained but fast and strong. She was made to fight. Her body willed herself beyond limits that spoke volume to me.
I had whispered only a few words to stir up Karen's wolf. To wake her wolf into the fighting stage she was at now. And awake, she came.
The shift was sudden, to the point it even freaked the vampires out with how fast her skin changed from ivory smooth to storm grey fur.
The moment I asked Karen to risk her life by acting like a scared wolf trying to escape, that gave me a window to jump back into my body and have me and the pack head for the house.
I could hear fighting inside the house, the rogue vampires too distracted to notice that we were on the porch.
"If you don't calm thee fuck down...I will put a silver bullet in your doggy ass."
Enough waiting. I ran full throttle into the door, slamming my hybrid body in full wolf. The door spiraled into the wall next to the door as I ran for the first vampire I saw first.
The vampire thought he moved fast enough but I was no longer a normal Were. Being half vampire, gave me the perk of speed.
I achieved the next best things biting into the vampires neck, my teeth hooked onto the vampires head, the vampires face getting a front roll view the inside of my mouth.
The vampire squealed and I took pleasure in biting down harder. Nothing but the taste of vampire blood, which I acquired some time ago hit every nerve in me, flammable enough to make me lost to it. Nothing like Elena's but sufficient enough.
The taste drowned into my mouth, delicious like left over pizza, warm up and twice as good. Something I loved eating once.
Bran ran up, using a wooden stake he'd been making sense he first heard about vampires six months ago and plunged it into the back of the vampire I had within the trap of my canines. Silver was melted at the tip.
My nose caught a familiar scent and I snarled alerting everyone with me to restrain the few vampires left.
Closing my eyes, I let the shift take its course.
Opening my eyes in human skin, I stayed crouched nodding for Karen to come to me. Her wolf was far more strong than I thought. Though she looked banged up, I knew it would be an honor to have her in our pack."Shift," I ordered her. She deserved to stand beside me tonight.
Karen took a few backwards steps, shifting within a minute. Sonia pulled the backpack off her shoulder that she carried with her grabbing a few pair of clothes.
We dressed and I smiled to Karen before turning my focus to the three vampires left sitting on their knees.
"This isn't going to change anything." I listened as one of the vampires with piercing blue eyes and yellow banana peel hair gazed up at me.
I leaned close, sniffing in his scent. No.
I stepped over to the next vampire beside the first vampire I sniffed. No.
On the last vampire I smiled before I could take in a deep breath. I bent low, his face scrutinizing me. The desire to fight me was strong but irrelevant. He was never going to attempt anything.
"The last time I asked a set of questions to someone...they challenged me...not answering willingly." I circled around the vampires, my hybrid finding hunger through the scent so much blood. Human, vampires, and Were blood was a combination that could take me out like a strong tranquilizer with one taste.
