Nina

I awoke as if I was having a tremendous stroke, my head blasting with the worse headache anyone could endure. The first sound I heard was my own shrieking, distorting my body in varies angles bringing my hands to my head.

My eyes burned, my entire face going numb as my wolf howled through my throat.

I heard a throaty laugh that told me I wasn't alone but my head hurt too much to open my eyes.

"You come into our town like that shits cool and think we ain't gonna do nothing to ya." The male voice was clearly not from around here with his southern accent coming off a bit stronger than he was trying to let me hear.

"Oh Manny...I'm so hungry..."

I heard footsteps and tried to sniff what they were but being shot in my head made it hard for me to concentrate.

"Becky shut the fuck up. Ya ass can wait a few minutes more. Ah just wanna see where this bitch wolf come from."

"Where's...Sara?" I groaned.

"Where's Sara?" The unknown man mocked me giving off an inhuman laugh before mocking me again. "Where's Sara? Well..." his next words were hostile and I shuddered scrambling further from his voice. "She can't die easily...I'll tell you that much but she's filling us up just dandy."

I let out a soft inhale of a whine. My wolf was scared and so was I. By his remark on Sara filling him up I knew now he was a vampire.

"Aww...Manny. She a submissive little thang. Can ah just...get one taste of that?" I could hear the woman's body reposition from a distance of where Manny was standing.

"No Becky. Now God dangit...our sire said not to kill them just yet."

Their sire. They were under someone else's orders. Who would be dumb enough to send these vampires after us? Their sire had to know about Mckayla and our pack.

"Well." I could feel the woman inching closer, "ah just won't one taste..." I could hear the swift agility of her come, landing on top of me. She had enough time to sink her teeth into my neck as I cried out before her partner in crime yanked her off of me. I could hear her crash into a wall several feet away. I cried out, the bite in my neck burning.

"Ya are a damn fool," Manny sneered. "Ah said no."

Becky whined. "Ah Manny. I couldn't help myself." She sounded like an addict to blood as humans were to meth.

Like werewolves becoming rogues it was clear vampires could become rogues as well.

My entire body seemed to go cold and numb. My headache was dimming. I remembered the last thing I saw was a gun before blacking out. They had to have shot me in the head with a silver bullet not a regular one. God, this wasn't good.

I couldn't get it out and it was killing me.

I prayed Sara was alive. I couldn't use enough of my werewolf senses to find out. I couldn't hold on much longer. I wanted to stay awake and listen to these to vampires talk but I didn't have enough fight in me to stay awake.

Mckayla

We ended up at a site which looked to be an old school. A small school, with a few pale brown brick buildings that had lots of wall windows stretched down to one side. There was a long stretched out layer of grass following down the curve of the building with small bungalow buildings circling around us.

Laurie immediately grabbed my hand and I pulled her into me. While one arm wrapped around her shoulder my other hand curved along her jaw line. "I need you to shift for me. You're safest that way."
