UnLucky

Kiri's point of view.

I scenced here before I saw her.
Automatically, it was as if a red flag went up in the back of my mind saying, be careful you are being watched.
Shuffling my feet making my way down the path towards camp I turned my head to the bushes on my side.
The twitching of a red tail caught my eye.
I sighed. Getting off the path I followed her.
'Where are we going?' I thought
'To a secret place.' Her voice appeared I'm my head.
'You can hear me?' I asked unbelieving
'Yes. It seems you have mastered telepathic communication.'
I stepped over a low bush, following the red tail infront of me as it continued jumping bushes dodging trees and climbing large rocks.
'So where is this special place?' I asked pushing a wall of vines out of my way.
'Just up ahead.' She whispered 'step lively now. But keep quiet. They don't take kindly to being disturbed.'
"They?" I whispered
'who are They?'
'You will see.' Was all she said as she jumped over a large boulder and disappeared into the bushes.
I jogged to catch up to her.
'Kitsune.' I whispered in my mind
'Call me Chi'
'Ok, Chi where is this place?'
'Right infront of you.'
I pushed back a tree branch and looked behind it.
It was a stunning ravine, with steep sides, boulders and large rocks everywhere, and a small creek that flowed through it ended in a swirling pool of water.
Chi was sitting on a large rock by the pool, staring into the water.
'Come.' She spoke softly never taking her eyes off the pool. 'Slowly'
I did as I was told. And walked around to where she sat.
'Look'
I looked down at the swirling water and saw my reflection but it wasn't me it was a large red and black dog.
"What?" I whispered "that's not my reflection."
'Shhh.' She whispered 'It is you. Just not the side of you that you know.'
She turned and looked at me. 'You must be very quiet. You wouldn't want to wake the Nixies.'
'The what?' I asked confused. I turned to take a seat on the rock beside Chi, not expecting it to be wet and slippery.
I slid right off the rock and splashed into the icy water.
"Ahh I screamed."
He pool wasn't much bigger than the bed of Aria's truck but it was deeper than I expected as my feet didn't reach the bottom.
I opened my eyes and tried to swiw up towards the surface of the water but something was pulling me down.
I watched as the surface grew further, and further out of reach.
I kept my eyes on chi as she leaned over the water.
Her body shook and her long red fur disappeared and her muzzle shrunk into her face. In its place was a small young girl about thirteen with long wavy strawberry blonde hair.
"Swim!" She shouted reaching her hand out. "Don't let them take you."
I squeezed my eyes shut as long green hands pulled me deeper and deeper.
Suddenly the water vanished and strong arms pulled me out of the water and onto the cold hard ground.
"Ish isht ahlihffe?" A shrill scratchy voice asked.
"Iys donch kno" another scratchy voice whispered
Something poked my forehead.
I opened my eyes and coughed spitting up a mouthful of water.
A long green finger was held near my face.
"Ahh" I screamed pushing myself up and away from the two strange creatures.
They looked like humans but with sticky green skin, like a frogs and completely naked.
Their eyes were much to large to be normal and were lime green.
Their fingers were long and had an extra joint and they had extremely long, dull, grey nails.
The one with her finger pointed at my face had long white hair with wet dripping water weeds hanging from it.
Her ears were at the top of her head like a dogs but were rounded and had a deep slit through them.
On closer inspection I saw that her dark green skin had specks of blue and yellow, and a few strands of her white hair had a green tent to it.
Three small lines were slit across the sides of her neck and it took me a second to realize they were gills.
A water lilly was stuck in her hair above her left ear.
I looked over at the other one.
She looked identical except with black hair, and a large pond weed hung around her neck like jewelry.
'These must be the Nixie's' I thought
The one with the white hair crawled closer to me on her hands and knees.
I scooted back even farther, expecting to hit a tree. I didn't.
I looked around.
My surroundings were unfamiliar.
I was in a park like place. A small clearing.
Girls danced in long flowing dresses, that looked as if they belonged to Tinkerbell herself, a tall girl with the wings of a butterfly sat on the roof of a gazebo that was carved out of the trunk of a very large tree, three white horses with lillys in their manes ran in the field with a black unicorn and a brown winged horse, I believe its called a Pegasus.
'What is this place?'
I heard the clicking of hooves and assumed it was the horses so I ignored it.
I looked at the Nixies "where am i?" I asked mystified
They look at each other than at me, or more like behind me.
"Ah hem" someone cleared their throat behind me.
I jumped and turned to face him.
He was tall, very tall, probably six foot, with wavy caramel colored blond hair that fell past his shoulders. His eyes were the most beautiful blue I have ever seen. They held me captive.
He was shirtless leaving his bare chest and toned six pack in clear site.
I smiled grateful that he was wearing pants, as I could see the dark brown fabric in the corner of my eye, but I wouldn't dare to look away from his Angelic face.
He stamped his hoof.
'Wait, his HOOF!'
I looked down and from his waist to his toes he was covered in a soft brown fur.
He was gorgeous but had the legs, feet and tail of a goat.
"Welcome to Esoteric."
