"You wanna chill with me? That is if you are doing anything tonight" I mumbled like a fool

Brian laughed cheerful. "Sure. I really don't have any plans, so why not." He smiled that gorgeous smile of his and it made my heart skip a beat.

I quickly drug him across the plaza over to where Chloe, sat talking to Jasmine and Kale on he small wall.

"Hey, Kiri!" Chloe squealed jumping off the wall and strangling me in a tight bear Hug.

Brian chuckled lowly

"Who's your friend?" She whispered eying Brian up and down with satisfaction.

'Ugh' I groaned internally 'My best friend, the player.'

I turned to face him. Those large brown eyes of his holding me captive once again. I felt a heat swirling up in my chest.

Kale cleared his throat and Brian and I looked away instantly.

"Hey Brian, whats up man?" Kale walked over and patted Brian on the back before pulling him into a man hug.

I glanced at Chloe who's eyea were glued to Brian's muscled body. She was almost close to drooling.

'So the hottie's name is Brian.' I listened to her thoughts growling internally at the fact she waa thinking inappropriate thoughts about him.

'I saw him first Chloe.' I growled.

"Oh my," Chloe laughed staring up at me. "Kiri has finally found an interest in guys?" She gasped in fake surprise.

I gasped staring at her face.

'I can't believe she just did that. Now I just have the urge to crawl under a rock and die. Why did she hav to embarrass me in front of a total hottie?'

Brian's face was bright red, as I am sure mine was too, and he was chewing nervously on his lip.

I glared as Jasmine fell off the wall laughing.

I could feel the heat drawing towards my face.

'This was getting incredibly awkward.'

"I-I.." I stuttered not sure what I was going to say but sure I needed to say something.

"I was just teasing." She laughed at me.

'Was she mocking me in my humiliation?'

I smiled a very smug smile as I thought of the perfect way to get her back.

"Oh no." She gasped

'Raen.' I chuckled 'where is he?'

I could feel my eyes tingle a little bit and I knew they had changed colors but what color I had no idea.

"How are you and Raen lately?" I chuckled chuckled. 'This is gonna be sweet.'

"Raen?" I heard Brian whisper confused

I turned my head to look at him and a flash of something blazed through his eyes, fear I believe.

I brushed it off. I'm probably just imagining things. I turnes back to Chloe

"Ugh." she ran off and hid behind Jasmine who was laughing so hard as she realized a few pieces of my diabolical plan to get Chloe back.

I felt my eyes shift back to normal as I relaxed"I wonder if he is around." A smile pulled at the corners of my mouth.

She gasped. "No, Kiri Please." She begged from behind Jasmine's shoulder.

'I am an Alpha of no mecy!' I laughed

Brian stood by and watched the sight unfolding in amusment and confusion leaning against Kale.

"Hey Raen!" I shouted as liud as I could. People staired but I ignored them. "Chloe said she loves you."

Brian burst out laughing along with Jasmine and Kale who couldn't hold it in any longer.

'Karma's a Bitch.' I growled at her as i leaned content against a concrete pillar.

"3...2...1" I whispered counting off the seconds till Raen arrived, playing with my fingernail.

She closed her eyes tightly, turning away from me and burying her head in her arms.

"What do you want Kiri?" He asked as he slowly walked out of the shadows.

Brian gasped quietly. I barely heard it.

Raen looked at him quizzically for a moment before setting his eyes back on me.

He was wearing only a pair of faded grey jeans and a flannel shirt that he had left unbuttoned and loose.

Jasmine chuckled.

"Not much," I said smiling "Just wanted to let you know that Chloe has chosen to pledge her love to you."

He grunted, gave me his famous death stare and turned to walk away.

"Oh and I'm beginning to trust you a little more."

His footsteps stopped.

A few seconds of silence.

"Why the change of heart?" Confusion laced his voice.

He didn't trust me. That much was obovious.

I laughed as he walked back a few spaces.

He leaned against he glass door reminding me of an animal about to pounce.

"Well, nothing you have done shows you as a threat, you seems as harmless as a house dog."

"I'd be careful if I were you," he chuckled without humor "Some Dogs are pretty Vicious."

'Kiri.should we really be talking about this in front of Brian?' Chloe's voice whispered harshly through my mind.

Our pack bond wasn't very strong because there were only three of us in he pack.

'He is a human what would he know.' I whispered back.

"Its okay. I can take care of any dog that gets in my way." I smirked gaining a small. Chuckle out of Raen.

I smiled at his unusual change of character.

'I'm sure you could, Almighty Alpha.' He chuckled without disrespect.

"Wow did Raen actually smile." Jasmine chuckled.

He glared at her.

"Well Raen," I sighed ready for Chloe's final punishment for embarrassing me "Do you plan on joining us tonight."

He stared at me wide eyed with shock.

'Yup weren't planning on that one were you Chloe?' I chuckled knowing for sure he would say yes.

He looked at Chloe, she glared evily at him.

"No." they answered at the same time.

I was wrong. He said no. Why?

'Why?' I asked him silently.

He sighed 'I don't want her to hate me anymore than she already does.'

'I understand.' I smiled at him 'you sure?' I asked again.

'Yea.' He ran his hand through his short hair.

"Ok. Just offering." I said as he turned to leave.

When he was gone Brian let out a big breath of air.

I turned my head to the side and I watched him confused. He seemed relieved.

I shrugged and grabbed his arm, pulling him away and towards the dance across the road.

"C'mon Brian!" I said half draggi g him across the parking lot. "Lets dance."

Jasmine and Kale laughed but followed along with a reluctant Chloe.
