Chapter 32

Feel the Rain

....................................

Original point of View

.....................................

Beneath a full moon, a dark cloudy night a wolf fell crying in pain somewhere.

Green eyes glowed in the darkness, blurs of red and white fur danced across the forest floor.

Snarls erupted from the throats of angry canines as they decended closer and closer to their destination.

A flash of light fell from a tree, a wolf exploded in flames and cries of tortured souls.

An arrow wizzed past the ear of one wild dog only to hit another between the eyes instantly killing it.

A blur of red fur flew from a low tree branch and landed on the back of a white wolf.

A yellow wolf bit into the neck of a larger grey one and slammed it into a tree.

A large human boy jumped out of a tree bat in hand, swinging at every vicious canine that came his way, still swinging as one tore into his leg yanking him to the ground.

His young human mate crying from the tree above, shooting arrows at wolves who dared to come to close.

Thunder echoed throughout the forest with the cries of fighting

Lighting stuck the ground through the trees rattling the earth beneath my paws.

I jumped, quickly shaking my head to regain my calm.

'Ugh who was that guy.' I shook my head as I trotted away from Raen's shouts and threats.

'He wasn't the smartest wolf in the pack.' I chuckled to myself as I jumped over a low tree limb and headed into camp.

The pounding of heavy feet startled me as I turned to face a large very naked man running through the trees past me mumbling to himself.

I froze, sat down and watched him pass without noticing me.

"BOOM" the roaring of thunder echoed throughout the forest.

The muscular guy disappeared through the bushes as a drop of rain fell to the tip of my nose.

I shook my head flinging the water away, and looked up.

The clouds have shifted revealing a full moon and the beginning of rain pounded the ground.

'Kiri,' I told growled telepathically 'I just saw a naked-'

'Follow him' she growled cutting me off.

I jumped to my feet and took off after him, silently followed him through the brush.

He stopped a little distance away and I hid behind a tree.

The rain started coming harder now.

He was talking to someone but I couldn't see them over the tall bushes.

"Get up." He grunted "There's no need to lay there. You will survive."

'Wait, this where I left Aria.' I looked up in the tree and barely glimpsed the black dress I had worn hanging on a high branch.

It was being pelted with rain and my eyes burned from the wetness that filled them as I looked up.

I heard a whimper and a soft sigh as turned to see Aria weekly stand to her feet before collapsing to the ground disappearing out of my sight once more.

He growled, a human growl, bent over stiffly and stood back up straight.

The smallish, in comparison to the guy wolves, brown wolf, that was Aria clung to his left arm her head and front paws resting on his shoulder.

Her eyes stared straight at me.

Her voice drifted through my mind weakly

'Bye. Chloe. I- have to leave.'

Her head fell into the crook in the guys neck and it seemed to take a lot out if her just to have held it up for a short time.

With his other hand the boy brushed his wildly curly hair out of his eyes.

He held her tight in his arms and his left hand drew patterns in her fur before he slowly walked deeper into the woods.

I stayed where I was and let them go.

His voice was stern and a little cruel when he spoke to her but his actions had revealed affection for the demanding She-Wolf.

'Maybe he was what she needed.' I thought as I watched as them disappear out of sight. 'A dominant male to keep her in line'

"Where did he go?" Kiri growled.

Her large red body flying over a fallen log to stand beside me.

'Who, the naked guy?' I chuckled seeing his nakedness appearing in my mind.

"Yea." She snapped "Luca Parker"

'Wha?' My entire body felt like it turned to ice. 'Th-tha-that was Luca?' I stammered

'Uh huh.' She growled lowering her chest and front legs to the ground her lower back and tail lifted in the air.

'um..' I stepped back awaiting her anger 'He left, with Aria'

"Are you sure he LEFT?" She sat down and watched my facial expressions carefully.

'Almost positive' I barked, surprised I wasn't being chewed out right now, but I remembered Kiri is a lot more understanding than Aria.

"Well be positive," she walked past me and back towards the camp. "Circle the campsite, a mile on all sides, make sure all wolves are out of sight."

'Ok.' I barked happily.

I was about to run off when I remembered Raen. 'Um, Kiri.' I caught one wolf in Chi's Deadfall trap, and Stella killed one.'

"Oh Ok." Kiri kicked a rock."I will have the guys dig a hole and we can buiry the one the other, you can help deal with when you come back'

'Yes Alphess.' I barked before running off through the rain, my paws sliding in the mud.

"Ugh," I heard her groan behind me. "Don't call me that"

I chuckled before I lifted my head to the sky and howled.

Kiri and Chi howled with me in the distance.

We had won this round.
