Unwilling

"THE PRINCESS!" I practically squealed, my mouth gaping open like a crazy person.

Liteal sighed, her proud shoulders going limp. "Sadly no. I am not in line to lead the court. That is my cousins path. I am just one of the many princesses born into royalty, with no claim to stake their name."

When she spoke you could hear her proper background in her voice along with her sorrow.

"Just because you are royalty doesn't make you special. There are hundreds of royalty with nothing better to do than attend parties and entertain our King's and Queen's, but it means nothing. Nothing at all. It is just some title we are given at birth saying we are pure of blood and are the ancestors of long ago Queens and Kings. We are pampered and spoiled, forced to live a shallow sheltered life. We are not to fight, hunt or work or even leave Court grounds. We must only mingle with others of our status. It's a horrid judgmental life. And one I wish i could escape." She looked longingly at Kiel.

'Ahh, I see,' I thought to myself. I began to piece together the deal with the two of them.

Liteal was royalty and Kiel was a Satyr a servant. Liteal loved him but it was doomed. She could only be with someone of Nobel fae blood as herself, and not a Satyr. Kiel was mad because he wanted to be with her. And she tried acting as though she wasn't interested so they wouldn't get in trouble.

"Random question here," I said scratching my head "What happens when someone of nobility falls for a commoner?"

"Oh no never." She gasped. Kiel's mouth fell open in surprise at my outspokenness.

"That can never happen, it's forbidden amd even worse would be one of a different world." She whispered a tear falling from her eye.

"Like a Fae and a Satyr?" I whispered

"Yes. Just like a Fae and a Satyr." Kiel said softly

I crossed my legs and sat down in the grass beside the water.

"Explain to me how these courts work, and about these laws, and that thing."I said pointing at Chi through the water."

I crossed my arms across my grey tee and watched as Kiel and Liteal followed my example and sat beside the pool with me.

Liteal on her knees and Kiel on his stomach hooves in the air.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Almost twenty minutes later I had learned about all the inner workings of the Seelie Court, how one Queen ran everything in the kingdom with her king at her side.

That common Fae are hunters and merchants. They catch the food, fight in wars, make the clothing and do all the manual labor.

I also found out that elves are actually fae that never grew their wings, its a type of wide spread genetic problem and they dont usually grow to be very tall.

Fea are classified into different groups.

First are the Seelie-the good Fae, and the UnSeelie- the bad Fae.

Then to break them down, in the Seelie you have the Summer, Autumn, Spring, and Winter Fae.

They were classified by the color of their eyes, and their wings.

Summer and Autumn Fae were the commoners.

Summer Fae have brown, or green eyes and could have anywhere between green, yellow, orange or brown wings.
