i remember it was you
who encouraged me to look at the little things
project my overly analytical self
onto someone else
so i did...
with you
with anyone really.
and i remember
voice inflections
the way it would sound higher
not just when asking a question
not just when talking to your mom
but if im not mistaken
when saying what you wanted
nay what you needed
i also remember
the way you acted
and the body language you had
when you didn't get a thing you wanted
i remember the haunting
mickey mouse impression you seemed to do so well
i remember so much
but so little
i remember you
and your self deprecation
being seamlessly
projected unto others
like you have taught me to do
