walking around the halls much like i do
although your posture was usually better than mine.
faint voices in the back of my memories prepare mefor a glimpse of you walking around every corner
i have concluded that the every other day reminder of your existence
isn't enough
you relentlessly linger in the halls of this high school
you linger on the streets by my homeyou linger in the back of my throat
it's been over a year and sometimes
i swear i still smell you in theserapidly fading memories
here's looking at you.
