Chapter 5

Hayes' POV

"come on Hayes get up, we are going to be late for our game" Brad says to me as he throw's a pillow at my head

"okay, i'm up!" i shout back at Brad as I reach for my phone to text Kat

To Kat ❤️❤️: morning, can't wait to see you, hope you had a good sleep last night xx

she doesn't reply so I suspect she's still asleep, whilst waiting for her to reply I decide to get ready for the game, i put on my soccer uniform and black CR7 soccer boots and as I am about to head down stairs for breakfast I get a message from Kat

From Kat ❤️❤️: Yeah can't wait, you better win for me haha 😉

I immediately reply saying

To Kat ❤️❤️: I'll try my hardest for ya aye?

she doesn't reply after that, she is probably getting ready for her day, like I should be, I check the time and realise I will be seriously late if I don't go and eat breakfast now. I head downstairs and see Brad already halfway through eating his bacon and eggs and I notice he has made a plate of bacon and eggs for me too.

"thanks dude" i say smiling at him and giving him a pat on the back

"no worries, now hurry up we are going to be late at the rate you're going" he says to me as I open up snapchat and take a photo of my food with him in the background with an angry expression, I begin to laugh as i think of the perfect caption 'when bae is mad at you but still makes you breakfast ❤️' I hit the my story button and quickly eat my breakfast, once I'm done I grab my bag and me and Brad run out the door and towards our soccer pitch as its close to where I live and its easy to get to.

"Boys, quickly come in, I'm just writing down the team starting on the pitch for today, you're already running late" our coach says to us as we run into the change rooms, thank god that I got changed before the game today, I would usually get changed down here but I didn't for a change which I am thankful for seeing as we are so late. After the coach is done talking we all go out onto the field to warm up before the game, halfway through the warm up I notice Kat and her friend Jordan watching us, I give Kat a small smile and wave and she returned them and I quickly got back to training. once we have finished training we walk off the field and back into the change rooms to wait for the referee to call the start of the game, on the way back to the change rooms Kat comes up to me and gives me a massive hug

"good luck today" she whispers in my ear

I smile and run off to the rest of my team in the change rooms, as I walk in my coach calls out for me to close the door behind me and as I turn to do so I see Kat staring at me, she realises that I've seen her and looks down slightly blushing which makes me smile, she is so cute, it's going to be hard telling her that I like her today, what if she doesn't like me back, I will be crushed, I frown a little before I look up and see Kat right in front of me

"Hey don't worry, you will play amazing today" she says giving me a reassuring smile, oh she must think I'm worried because of the game... little does she know...

"Thanks Kat" I say giving her a hug and a kiss on the forehead

As soon as I let go of her i hear all of my team mates cheering for me and Kat begins to blush again

"don't be embarrassed" I say to her before i shut the door behind me and walk into the change rooms with all the boys patting my back and cheering for me, now it's my turn to blush

"Naw is little Hayesie blushing" one of my team mates Justin says to me causing me to plush more

"no, now come on lets focus on the game" I say, I don't think I mentioned before but I am team captain and before every game i give the speeches in the change rooms, I begin to give my speech and half way through I hear the whistle go off signalling the referee is ready to start the game, I say one last thing as we all run out onto the pitch.
