Together Again

Chapter 23

Katherine's POV

"Well today was fun" Jack says plonking onto the couch followed by Nash and Peter as Hayes, Brad, Jordan and I just watch them all lying there pretty much on top of each other

"Yeah, I guess you could say that" Jordan says laughing as the images of her getting knocked over come back into my mind making me laugh too

"How are you feeling after that anyway Jordan" I ask her and she shrugs

"It's fine now I guess" she says and I just nod

"Okay... well this is getting awkward, so I'm going to go up to my room, have fun guys" I say after a minute of an awkward silence. I begin to jog up the stairs when I here someone say something

"What?" I say stoping and turning around slowly

"I said I'll join you, you know, so you don't get bored" Hayes says and I sigh

"No Hayes it's fine, I won't be bored" I say trying to convince him to stay downstairs but he is too stubborn

"I'm coming" He says and I sigh again

"Hayes it's really fine" I say as he begins to walk towards me

"I'm coming, let's go" He says motioning for me to continue moving up the stairs, I look at the others with pleading eyes hoping one of them will help me but they all just shrug

"I hate you all" I whisper yell angrily to them making them laugh

"What?" Hayes asks me as he is now further up the stairs than me and probably didn't here what I said

"Nothing" I say and we both continue walking towards my room him a bit further ahead than me, he arrives at my door first and waits for me to open it

"Come in" I say once I open the door and walk in standing next to the door and waiting for him to come in. Once he is in my room and sitting on my bed I close the door and sit on the chair near my bed

"Okay, so how are you planning on entertaining me?" I say after a while of neither of us saying anything

"Let's just talk" He says which makes me angry

"About what Hayes?! All day you ignore me and when you do say something to me it's either in a rude manner or be mean to Shawn, I haven't even done anything for you to treat me like this, if anything I should be treating you this way but I don't because I'm not like that, and yes I will admit I was a little bit annoyed with the window thing but it's not like I was furious and didn't want to speak to you, even though you were treating me sourly before that, and not only that when I wanted to help you, you got angry at me? What is that? What have I done to deserve this? Where is the Hayes I used to know? The one I used to be best friends with, the one who used to tell me anything and I knew I could tell anything, now, I can't even say hello to you" I say and let out a big breath once I'm done, that was tiring

"I'm still here Kat" He says after a while and I sigh before looking down

"You really aren't Hayes, you wont even tell me what's bothering you, and I really want to help you like we used to help each other" I say not looking up

"I know Kat, I'm really sorry, I wish I could tell you, I really do, I just can't, one day I will tell you I promise" He says and I shake my head

"Well maybe we should take a break until that day comes because whatever is bothering you is making you take it out on me, and I don't like it" I say and I start to feel tears threatening to leave my eyes

"No! Kat I'm sorry, I wont take it out on you anymore, I swear I will try harder" Hayes says frantically but I don't budge

"I don't know Hayes" I say frowning still not looking at him or even away from the ground for that matter
