Katherine's POV
"WAKE UP GUYS WE ARE GOING TO THE BEACH!" I am woken by my mum yelling from down the stairs, I groan and burry my head into my pillow not wanting to get up, but then it clicks, Hayes is also going to the beach
"Hayes" I say nudging him to wake him up, if I remembered correctly Hayes is a very heavy sleeper
"Hayes" I say again this time pushing him a little more
"Wake up or i'm going to get water to pour over your head" I say causing him to spring up faster then I've ever seen anyone do before
"I'm awake what is it?"
"Do you know if we are going to the beach together because my family is going to the beach and so is yours" I say checking my phone to see the time, and it says it is 8:37
"No i'm not sure, lets go eat breakfast and find out" he says as he gets up and walks towards the door
"Well are you coming?" he says to me as I slowly get out of bed and begin to walk towards him
"Yeah, yeah i'm coming, i'm coming" I say as I wave my hand in front of me motioning him to continue walking
As we are walking down the stairs I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and begin to freak out, my hair looks horrible, i'm surprised Hayes hasn't said anything, he is probably being nice
"H..hey Hayes, you go ahead I just have to quickly go and do something, i'll be there in a second" I say as I run off towards the bathroom
Once i'm in the bathroom I grab my brush and quickly brush through my hair, I quickly put it in a loose fish tail braid which looks really good in my hair as my hair is long and is brown with blonde ombre so it makes the colour look good
"Hey, i'm back" I say as I walk back into the kitchen and notice Hayes sitting down at the table with his back faced towards me, before he has the chance to turn round to say something I run up behind him and give him a massive hug
"Hey Kat, long time no see" He says laughing slightly at me as I smile at him and take the seat next to him
"So mum, are we going to the beach with the Grier's?" I ask my mum whilst she was cooking us breakfast
"Yeah, I forgot to tell you guys... I mean we haven't really done anything all together since.. well probably since you and Hayes were in year 6, and since you both seem to be getting along so well recently we decided, why not?" she says as I look at Hayes in excitement and he does the same
"No that's okay, now I'm excited to go" I tell my mum as she turns around and smiles
"That's good honey, and is bacon and eggs okay for breakfast because that's what I'm making for your dad and the boys"
"Yeah thats great, you okay with that?" I ask Hayes turning towards him
"Yes that's fine, Thanks Ms Makris" Hayes says to my mum smiling
"You're welcome honey, and you have known me for almost your whole life now so please, call me Johanne or JoJo like you used to when you were younger" my mum says laughing at the memory of a younger Hayes calling my mum JoJo all of the time
"Okay, thanks JoJo" Hayes says attempting to talk like he did when he was younger causing me to start to laugh and he starts to laugh as well
moments later my mum serves us our breakfast and me and Hayes eat it as fast as possible so we can start getting ready sooner so we can go to the beach sooner
"Okay i'm going to go now so I can get dressed, I'll see you soon okay? Don't miss me too much" Hayes says winking at me as I pull him in for hug before he walks out the door
