Together Again

Chapter 1

PLEASE READ A/N AT THE END IT EXPLAINS SOME THINGS

Katherine's POV

"Katherine did you hear what I just said?"

I turned my head towards my best friend Jordan who was talking to me, although I had zoned out for almost three minutes now, I have been staring at the clock on the wall, seven more minutes, seven more draining minutes and then school will be over for the year.

"Sorry Jords, I was focusing on the clock, what's up?"

"Yeah I know you were, anyway, I asked you what you have planned for your holidays" she asks me as she searches through her diary

"Not sure, I don't think we are going away this year though" I say frowning, every year since I can remember we have gone away on a family trip, and every year it has been a different location, but this year for some reason, we aren't going and I have no idea why

"So Katherine are you.." Jordan starts to say when she is cut off by the bell

DING DING DING

"OMG YES SCHOOL IS OUT WHOOOO" I scream at the top of my lungs, half my class turns around to me and stares and the other half are already at their lockers, I give them a look as if to say "yes, what do you want" and they all turn around and run out the doorway

"So what was it you wanted to ask me?" I yelled back to Jordan who was trailing behind me because I was running to my locker

"Are you going to the party at Amanda's house tonight?" Jordan says once we reach our lockers

"I don't know man, I mean Amanda doesn't really like me that much" me and Amanda used to be really close when we first started high school in year seven, then she became popular and didn't invite me along for the ride, that's when I met Jordan

"No she doesn't, she just doesn't talk to you, that doesn't mean anything" she says to me as I pull her arm along whilst running to get out of here, me and Jordan live opposite each other so everyday we walk home together.

The walk home we had a pretty boring convo to be honest but school was over and I was so happy I didn't even mind

"So will you come to the party Kat?" Jordan asks me almost with a begging tone to her voice

"Yeah maybe, I'll have a look on Facebook at the event she made and see who's going, then I'll get back to you, ok?" I say as we walk away from each other to walk into our houses

"Ok but you better let me know soon" she shouts from across the street as I laugh at her

"Ok, ok, byeeee" I shout back, she just waves and I walk through my gate, as soon as I do I hear my brothers music going off, yep, you would probably be able to hear it if you lived four blocks away, I walk through my front door and go straight into my older brothers room, I have four brothers, one younger and three older, the oldest two are my half brothers and don't live with me, their names are Jonathan (oldest, 30), Michael (second oldest, 28) and the ones I still live with are named Jack (older, 18), Kai (younger, 13), and I'm 16

"OMG GUYS WHAT ARE YOU DOING" I shout to them over the music and burst out laughing at their dancing but join in anyway, once the song ends I walk into my room across the hall and search up Amanda's party on Facebook

100 people going 25 maybe and 16 not going, wow how big is this party going to be, I knew Amanda had a massive house but I don't know if it will fit this many people, plus the people that don't even have Facebook, like Jordan and Hope, I forgot to mention Hope, me and Jordan are really good friends with her but she moved from our school so we don't see her as much anymore, I decide to go through the list of people that are going and that I'm friends with on Facebook, I saw a couple of people from my school and even some from my primary school going plus some randoms who I didn't know and then... I saw him... Hayes Grier.. he was going... I don't know if I really want to go anymore... Hayes was my best friend in primary school, we did everything together, we were inseparable, and then high school happened, and I haven't seen him since, that was four years ago...

I get out my phone and see I have two text messages, one from Jordan and one from hope, I decide to open the one from hope first

Hope ❤️: hey Kat you going to Amanda's tonight??? Miss you heaps :) xx

I reply with

To Hope ❤️: not sure yet, I'll text you when I'm certain, miss you too love xx

Then I open my message from Jordan

Jordan is better than you (she put in her contact name): hey man you coming or not? I wanna know so I can come over and we can get ready together!!!

To Jordan is better than you: I don't know Jords, Hayes is gonna be there...

She replies straight away

Jordan is better than you: THE Hayes, Hayes Grier, your best friend from primary school?

To Jordan is better than you: yes him, I don't know if I'm ready to see him again...

Jordan is better than you: of course you are, I'll be over in ten minutes, see you soon xx

I smile at her message, I always do, I hope I'm ready to see Hayes again, and I hope this night goes well, I hope...

A/N ok guys!! Just so you know, Hayes isn't famous is this book, because I've never read one where he isn't famous, he also plays soccer instead of football because I'm from Australia and know nothing about it, that also explains if some schooling things don't make sense, cause it's Australian schooling, if u have questions about anything, ask
