Kate Blade Interviews Wade Blade

 Kate Blake, the young journalist with Channel One, the One and Only One has scored a TV interview with the front man of the Raving Lunatics band, bad boy muso, Wade Blade. She's rapt, ecstatic that she has this sought after interview and can hardly contain herself. The night before, Kate can hardly eat or sleep, as she goes over the imagined interview in her head.

The only downside, is that her new boss, man eater and tough bitch Prue Pepper, wanted to do the interview herself, but Kate talked her way into it and was backed up by some of the male staff at the TV station, who told Prue that it was probably better to have someone younger to do the job. This of course didn't please Prue and she has warned Kate that she'll have a link to her mike and will hear how Kate handles things; every word. Kate tries to brush any misgivings aside, as she's a major fan of the Raving Lunatics and afterwards, maybe other TV stations will see her work and poach her, giving her an escape route from Prue Pepper who she can't stand.

As the countdown begins, Wade Blade is sitting in a comfortable chair, staring insolently at Kate. He's dishevelled this morning, with his face unshaven, curly black hair as wild as ever and the ever-present mirror sunglasses on. He's wearing purple velvet skinny pants and a tight black T-shirt. He has defiantly folded his arms, knowing that this pose is off-putting for TV interviewers. He has tattoos on his arms, but because they are folded, Kate can't tell what they are. He also knows that Kate is young and super keen and he intends to take full advantage and be as difficult and temperamental as possible.

Kate has taken a great deal of trouble with her own appearance, mostly thanks to Cathee with two ees. Cathee has swept Kate's normally fine, slippery mid length hair into an updo. Kate has on a grey pencil skirt and a black and white spotted blouse with puffy sleeves and a big bow at the neck. She feels stylish and sophisticated but still more nervous than usual.

Kate Good evening viewers, Channel One, the One and Only One, have much pleasure in bringing you the interview you've all been waiting for. Our very own rockstar Wade Blade of the Raving Lunatics band has just returned from a world tour to promote their incredible new album, Stalker.

Kate smiles into the camera. She wishes she didn't feel quite so breathless and she wishes that Wade would be a bit more responsive to her friendly introduction. Why won't he take off those disconcerting sunnies? She also feels her face flush, which happens when she's excited or nervous and today she's both.

Wade smirks as Kate continues: Hi Wade, I can't believe I'm sitting here, in this studio, being the lucky girl to interview a true rockstar.

Prue, into Kate's ear hisses; Try not to sound and act like a little teenybopper groupie.

Wade I can't believe it either babe. I wasn't expecting a cub reporter.

Kate I...I'm not a cub. I..I'm quite senior actually.

Wade Whatever, babe. Just don't ask me what I had for breakfast or if I'm kind to animals.

Kate I wasn't going to, but as a matter of interest, what did you have for brekky today and are you kind to animals?

Wade OK. I had a fried fritz sandwich at Stuff-Ya's. I went with our drummer, Guy Bligh.. We had two each. They were free too, in exchange for our exclusive autographs.

Kate Wow.

Wade Yeah, wow and as for the animal thing? I gave Mandi Mason's pitbull Crocodile a good kick in the slats last week.
