Part 94

Three days after Noah was born, everything felt more at ease.

Leah was propped up against the pillows in bed, looking exhausted but happier than Lilly had ever seen her.

Noah was asleep against her chest.

Lilly sat beside them, one hand resting gently on Leah's leg while she stared at their son with ash lying on the floor guarding his people.

She still couldn't believe it.

Their baby.

Their little boy.

Their Noah.

Then there was a knock.

Amanda poked her head through the door.

"Can we come in?"

Leah smiled.

"Of course."

Amanda and David have been tidying up and cooking dinner for the girls and just helping them out a little bit.

Amanda walked in with David behind her.

The second Amanda saw Noah, her eyes filled with tears again

"Oh my goodness..."

She walked closer.

"That's our boy."

David smiled, completely overwhelmed.

"Look at him."

Leah carefully lifted Noah slightly.

"Do you want to hold him?"

Amanda's eyes widened.

"Me?"

Leah laughed softly.

"Yes, Mum."

Amanda washed her hands before carefully taking Noah into her arms.

She immediately started crying.

"Oh, sweetheart."

Noah wriggled against her.

Amanda looked at Leah.

"He's perfect."

Leah smiled.

"He's got a lot of people already completely obsessed with him."

Lilly laughed.

"Especially me."

Amanda looked at Lilly.

"You haven't put him down."

"I don't intend to."

A little while later, another knock came.

Lilly looked at Leah.

"Who else did you invite?"

Leah shrugged.

"I might have told a few people."

The door opened.

Katie walked in first.

Behind her came Beth, Keira, Georgia, Steph, Caitlin and Lotte.

Katie stopped dead when she saw the baby.

"Oh my God."

She immediately covered her mouth.

Lilly grinned.

"Come meet your nephew."

Katie's eyes filled with tears.
