I was sitting in my office. Trying to figure out how to get my mate away from the battle without getting hurt, It was hurting me. But I could only see that, the only way I can take care of my mate. But also get rid of that annoying rat. Was for me to trust and send someone else after my mate while I take care of the head hunter. But who could I trust enough to do that? Jenna, much to her disappointment was out, due to her pregnancy. Alex would be helping me on the battle field. It would mean failure without him to help me.

I trusted my men very well. But not enough to entrust the safety of my mate in. But I will have to choos- There was a loud knock at the door that interrupted my train of thought. My burning eye snapped towards the door as the person began to knock again. I debated whether to answer the door. But I managed to remember that I need all the help I could get. I tried to smell out who it was, and I groan. The person deciding to not wait a second longer came running in. I looked and saw the last person I wanted to see.

"Hannah, what is it this time?" I groaned.

Hannah was wearing a .bright flowery dress that she 'borrowed' from another pack member. She was holding a tray with a cup and plate full of food and water. I didn't have time for this.

"I just wanted to get my hard working man something to eat." Hannah said as she placed the tray down on the ground.

"For the last time. I am not your man. Be thankful that I even let you stay here."

"Don't say that. I know your stressed about the war coming up bu-"

"But nothing....I don't know what you are thinking but it needs to stop. I am not your mate. You need to find someone else to annoy."

She grew red with anger, and began to shake. However, I was worried that she was going to shift more then that I had hurt her feelings.

"Fine! I will. But you have lost the best mate you would ever have. You will pay for this" Hannah said dropping the tray, and then storming out.

I sighed then placed my head against my desk. Ignoring the mess on my office floor. The sooner this is over and I have my mate in my arms again I will be happy again. It wasn't long before Alex came storming in.

"What have I done now?" I groaned.

"Nothing." He laughed. "Can't a guy just visit his stressed friend?"

"Not when they have caused one of the stresses." I said looking at him with one of my eyebrows raised.

"Yeah, she came to me crying about what you said to her just now. Look im sorry that I was so harsh on you. But as an alpha you need to be more understanding and accepting. You can't just refuse help because you don't like the person. It took me a while to learn this. I know you are in pain because you have been away from your mate for too long. I know it's starting to change you. But this isn't the Ayyan I know. The Ayyan I know would help Hannah despite how he feels about her."

"I know you are right. But I am just soo angry." I said all the time. "I see you and others walking around with their mates. Then I reminded mine ran away from me."

"Do you think the hate you have for Hannah is just your frustration from not being around your mate?"

"No, I do admit I was a bit harsh on her. But the constant flirting has got to stop. I have a mate, and if she comes home to see her..."

"She will rip her head off...yes...I understand." Alex laughed. "I guess I should have known. I was a bit harsh as well. I should have understand that my friend was upset. I also shouldn't have threaten your title. It was wrong, I was wrong. But so were you."

I laughed. "I guess you're right. Still friends?"

"Of course. Look I will have a talk with Hannah about the flirting." Alex said. "You keep planning. By the way I would suggest Michael."

I rolled my eyes. "Michael loses his own shoes. Let alone my mate!"

I heard him laughing away.

Alex POV

------*-----*---------------*-

I didn't lie when I felt bad for what I said. It was true I didn't mean what I had said about removing his title. I guess I couldn't stand seeing my friend act the way he did. We needed to get his mate back, and fast!

I was upset when Hannah had come running to me about what Ayyan said to me. But something didn't sit right with what she said to me. She told me he had pushed her and called her food poison. But that wasn't like Ayyan at all. He would never hurt a woman. As I left the office Hannah was outside. As soon as I was close enough she grabbed my arm and looked up to me with her face. Way too close. I tried to push her a bit further away from my face.

"Did you talk to him?" She asked in a soft voice as if she was about to cry.

"Yes, but he doesn't seem like he pushed you."

"Didn't you see the food on the floor?"

"I did. But it looked more dropped then-"

"So you don't believe me as well?" She said as she began to cry.

"I didn't say that. But-"

"So you'll will punish him right?"

"UIm..."

"Yay you will thanks." She said and kissed my cheek

She then ran off. What the hell did I just do?

"Hannah, wait."

She stopped halfway through then turned to me. "Yes?"

"I wanted to talk to you about Ayyan."

"What about?"

"You need to stop flirting with Ayyan. He has a mate. I know it will be hard but..um.."

"Don't worry, your highness. I am no longer interested in Ayyan. He has pushed me away too much."

"wow."

"Yes, I found someone else. Someone who treats me the way I am meant to be treated. I am going to go after them."

"Oh.." Well that was easy. "That's good. Its it your mate."

"No, but he will love me anyway." She said quietly as she runs away.

Huh.,...what the hell just happened? I don't understand. One minute she was clinging onto Ayyan and the next she has someone else. Girls scare me...
