I was running through the forest as fast as I could. So far I haven't seen anyone, yet. But I wasn't taking any chances. Soon I began to run out of breath. I then fell to my knees. I haven't slept or eaten in a whole day, and my body wasn't taking it very well.

I began to cough as I struggled to breath. Then I heard the sound of someone coming closer. I began to panic and looked around, and tried to find somewhere to hide. I found a small bush that I jumped into. It wasn't long before the footsteps were only a few feet away. I began to panic. There was no way that I was being brought back. They would know that I would run again and again. I knew the only option was to kill me.

I then saw the feet of the person who was looking for me. It was obviously male. His dark skin was partially covered by golden sandals. That was weird. Why would the hunters send someone with gold sandals after me?

"Hello, I know you are here." A deep voice called. "Don't worry, I won't hurt you."

Some part of my believed him, and wanted to go out. But my brain knew better.

"Okay, I guess I need to explain more. My name is Nathanael Prince. I am an earth fairy. I won't hurt you. I swear to you. The forest told me you were hurt and needed help. I only want to help."

It was a few moments before I pushed myself up and faced him. His back was to me. But as soon as he heard me stand. He actually was very cute. Not my type, but in the same. He had short spiking hair and a clean brown skin that matched his brown eyes. He wore a light dirt covered white shirt, and a green short sleeved jacket. He was wearing matching green long pants. He smiled at me.

"I was starting to worry you weren't going to trust me." He laughed.

"There was just something about you. That made me trust you."

He smiled at me. "I am thankful for that. So you know my name. Can I know yours?"

"Rosella." I answered.

"Rosella. That sounds nice." He said as he began to think.

"Something wrong?" I asked.

"No...it's just the name sounds familiar."

"It's not very a unique name."

"I guess not." He said. "Hm...you don't seem very hurt. I bit bumped and bruised."

"About that... You said that the forest told you I was hurt."

He laughed. "I guess you are human."

I nodded.

"Well, I am an earth fairy as I said. We are able to communicate with the trees and plants."

"Wow....but I have to ask...where are your wings?"

He laughed again. "I hid them. I thought it would be less scary that way."

In a flash his wings grew back. They were an almost see through green. "Wow"

"So what are you doing here little human?"

"Uh..." Should I tell him? "It's a long story..."

"I've got time."

"Well..."

Ayyan's POV

"His what?" Alex cried looking at me. "I thought that you had a mate?"

"Huh....I do..."

"What Ayyani! You never told me this." Hannah turned to me and sighed.

I placed my hand over my eyes in an attempt to calm myself down.

"Why should I have to? I told you a thousand times I have no feelings for you I never had."

"So...wait I'm confused. " Alex said.

"Before I joined you and Jenna. While I was still working for you mother. Hannah here was who your mother set up for me. She wanted me to mate with her. But like you. I only wanted my mate. However, Hannah had other plans."

"No you wanted this remember that night we spent before the battle. It was so beautiful."

I pointed at her while looking at Alex with a; you understand now look on my face.

"Hannah, I never spent a night with you. In fact the night you speak of. I was miles away."

"No! You came into my room in the middle of the night and-"

"Yeah...that wasn't me."

"So you mean...that...."

"That someone else..." She said as she began to cry.

"Yep...Sorry. I don't love Hannah-"

"But you could!" Hannah cried grabbing at me. "If you give it time. You can fall to love me. "

"Hannah..."

"NO don't you Hannah me!" She cried. "You are all I have left. I gave up everything for you."

"I'm sorry."

"You cannot do this to me!"

"Hannah, listen to me," Alex said stepping in between me and her. "I know it hurts right now. But Ayyan has a mate that he loves very much. He is going crazy without her. There is someone just like that just waitng for Hannah. He will love you more the Ayyan ever could. You'll be his whole world. At that point no one else will matter. Not me... not Ayyan just the two of you."

"What...what if he doesn't want me."

"He'd me crazy not to."

She smiled at him. Then turned to me. It was over in a flash but I saw a gilt in her eyes that told me this wasn't over. Oh...great.

"Thank you for that. But...but do you mind if I stay here for a little while."

"Well actually..." I began.

"That would me fine." Alex said giving me a look.

He then told the guard to take her inside. After she was inside I turned to Alex.

"You have no idea what you have done."

"No, I have no idea who that was right there. The man I know would never treat a woman like that."

"That was no woman! You were so wrapped up in your own life you never saw what she was really like!"

"Wrapped up in my own life?" Alex hissed.

"Yes, it was always about you. If it wasn't about you being the leader of the rebel army. Mr. Perfect. It was about who would be the next king. You always kept in your own bubble you never looked around what was going around you. I don't want that woman anywhere near me!"

"Oh I can see that! I thought you were a kind and caring person. But now I can see that I was wrong. If that is how you treat woman. No wonder why your mate left you!"

I felt my wolf jump at this disrespect. He may be my king and best friend. But no one can speak to me like that!

"How dare you! I have been nothing but honest to you. I have been loyal to the bone. Even to the point where I have risked my life for yours. For this kingdom! And you are calling me selfish?" I hissed.

"Careful there Ayyan. I gave you that title. I can very well take it back!" Alex his as his eyes changed.

"Is that a threat?" I hissed.

"No, Ayyan! It is a warning. If you step one place out of line..." Alex left it at that then turned to head inside.

At this point I didn't care about my title all I wanted was my mate and that woman as far away from me as possible.
