Rosella's POV

-----*--------*----------

It wasn't long before with the help of the fairies, all but the alpha was destroyed. I turned around to see how Ayyan was doing. It wasn't good. In the space of a few seconds the following happened.  Ayyan was knocked to the ground by a hunter. Then the final creature ran to him and raised his claw to hit the final blow.  Then without thinking about it, my body began to run towards them. In a spilt second I felt the sharp slice of Louie's claws into my skin. I fell onto the soft fur of Ayyan. I felt as if something was rushing through my body. Then my eye lids felt heavy and my body became numb.

Ayyan POV

--------*--------*---------

The shock forced my body to shift back as Loiue laughed.

"What a little idiot." The cracked voice laughed.

"No...NO! Rosella! What were you thinking?" I asked her as tears began to fall from her face. "Come on! Open your eyes. I cannot lose you baby."

"Pathetic." Louie laughed. "You lose yourself over a useless woman? Let me tell you alittle advice. Woman are worthless. The only thing that they are good for is producing an heir, and their house work."

I began to shake as my wolf began to growl in my head. All of my sanity was lost. I lost everything dear to me. I felt everything begin to slip away from me. I felt myself fall into the deepest part of myself.

"Oh is the little baby upset that I killed his little lover? Don't worry I will be merciful, and end your pain. By letting you join her."

I saw from the corner of my eyes him raise his claw again. But again it didn't hit me. This time it was blocked by a strong thick vine that had burst from the ground, and grabbed his mutated arm. Then yanked him until he hit the ground. It then flung him a few meters away. Taking a few hunters out in the process.

"What the hell was that?" I hissed.

"There is no time!" A strange voice cried.

Suddenly a strange man began to run to me and Rosella. I instantly began to protect my injured mate from this new danger. I growled at him as he got closer. He just rolled his eyes at me as he got closer.

"Who are you?"

"I told you that there isn't enough time! Come on we must defeat this guy before he hurts anyone else," The stranger said then sighed when I didn't budge. "Fine, I am a friend Rosella, and we are helping you."

"We?"

"My people." He said as he attacked an attacking Louie.

I looked around and gasped as I noticed the huge group of people, no fairies who were helping to push back the hunters. Where the hell did they come from? When did they get here?

"Ask questions later." The stranger gasped dodging an attack. "Fight now!"

I nodded my head, and the kissed the top of Rosella's head. Then gently placed her still body gently on the ground. Then allowed my wolf to take control.

Between my attacks and the uncontrollable attacks from the stranger. Louie seemed to only to have one choice but to back away. Before he had a chance to attack. One of us attacked him before he could move.

"You think it is right that you attack helpless people? Kill people who have done nothing but be who they were born to be!" The stranger.

"With that talk, and those weak wings. I can guess who you are! The bastard son of the fairy king." Louie laughed. "You dare lecture me? Not even your parents wanted you."

During this whole conversation all three of us were still fighting. However, I seemed to be the only one to notice that we were heading further and further away from the main fight. Soon the main battle field was blocked by trees.

Nathanael POV

-----------*------------*------------

The fact he hurt my best friend was enough. Why was he egging me on more by revealing my past? After I saw the heart stopping moment of Rose taking the fatal blow. All I could see was her blood and her body falling onto her mate.  I lost it then, and wanted to do anything to make him pay. Even blow our big secret. You see for fairies we have a curse and gift. Only those with fae blood lines are able to see our physical bodies. Unless a high status fae allowed the chosen trusted friend.  This friend must not reveal the secret that we exist.

This is why I was so shocked when Rosella could see us. At first I thought she must know one of the high officials. Then it became clear that I was the first fairy that she has ever seen. This only deepens the mystery. When she was injured I finally allowed her mate, Ayyan to see us. It was the only way I was able to talk to him, and follow my orders. Because otherwise we will all be domed, and we haven't got much time left. Everyone was getting tired and weak. Something was about to break.

"How does it feel?" The creature asked. "To be the unwanted baby of the fairy king and his mistress."

"Fantastic." I said and hissed. "But I don't feel the need to turn myself into a horrible weak monster."

This seemed to only make Louie even angrier. His attacks became more forceful. Good everything is going into play. I caught a glance of Ayyan, as he gave me a look that asked me what I was doing. He hand to keep moving faster to dodge his strong attack, and then retaliate.

"Weak!?"  Louie cried. "I am not weak!"

"Yes, you are very weak! In fact your one of the weakest people I have ever meet! You call yourself a savior."
