Chapter 14: Party

It's now 7 pm, it's dark outside, the lights are all switched off. I still haven't eaten, I don't feel hungry. I'm feeling a bit concerned by the fact I haven't eaten in so long and can't hold any of my food down. We decided to watch Paranormal Activity 1, 2, 3 and 4. Well, Chelsea, Jess and I were the only ones that watched the full movie, the others all looked away at the scary parts. To top of the scariness, we watch Scream. After that, Karissa suggests we play truth or dare.

"I'LL START! Hmmm, Katie! Truth or dare."

"Ummm, truth." I always pick truth; she didn't have to ask me.

"Did you meet any cute guys in LA?" My heart dropped, thinking about the day with Joey. If Karissa weren't some creepy mind reader, I would have lied, and said no.

"Well. When I got to LA when I went into the apartment building, these guys started hating on me about my channel, and you guys all know how emotion I get, I ran off crying. When I got to my floor, I turned a corner, and ran into this guy," I look at Karissa, and she believes me, "I dropped my stuff and fell over. He helped me up and saw my Hunger Games book. He told me that it was his favourite book, then he saw my camera, asked if I was a photographer, I told him I was a Youtuber, and it turns out he was too. Then I found out our apartments are next to each other, and then we said goodbye."

"Is that all?" Chelsea asks.

"No. Then he invited me to go places with his friends, they are Youtubers too. Joey and I became best friends. One day we went to Disney Land, and I asked him out...."

"OMG! What did he say?" Karissa yelled.

"Well, it was something like 'um, er, ah, I'm sorry.' Then he ran off..." There was an awkward silence before Chelsea spoke.

"Aw, it's ok. Hey, you said he was a Youtuber, show us his channel!" Oh no. I was about to cry talking about him, and now I have to show a video.

I end up picking the last HungerCraft we played. However, 'they couldn't see him properly' so I showed them a vlog.

"Well, he's attractive..." Taylor said.

"And he's a complete weirdo... Like you!" Victoria added. I couldn't handle it anymore. I could feel the waterworks coming.

"Katie, what's wrong?" Chelsea asked. She was always there to comfort me.

"I'm so stupid. I wrecked our friendship. I miss him so much!"

"It'll be ok, why don't we watch Pitch Perfect to get your mind off it, you love that movie."

"Ok.."

We sit down and watch Pitch Perfect. The whole time I am just thinking about Joey, and how I wish he were here with me. I want him to be here hugging me with his firm, and warm hold. I wish he were mine...
