Astrid's P.O.V.
Fast forwarding to my house. I got to the mailbox and I opened it up and there was mail in it so I grabbed it. I was flipping through the mail when I heard noise coming from my left so I turned and I saw a U-Haul with men moving things into the house. A girl saw me and she walked over to me and said, "Hello, my name is Jade, what's your name?" I smiled at her and said, "My name is Astrid." Jade smiled and said, "Cool name, I'm jealous." I shrugged my shoulders and I said, "It's not that great of a name." Jade shook her head and said, "What school do you go to?" I saw a guy coming over to us and I said, "Burnington school." She smiled brightly and said, "I'll be going there next week."
The guy came over and said to Jade, "Uncle Greg wants you to go and check out your room that he picked for you." Jade nodded to the guy and she left leaving me alone with this guy. I noticed he was checking me out so I snapped my fingers at him and that brought him to attention and I saw that he was blushing. He cleared his throat and he said, "Sorry about that, my name is Dylin, and you are?" I shook my head wanting so badly to punch him in the face, instead I head back and said, "The name is Astrid." Dylin smiled at me and I blushed badly enough that he made his smile bigger and he said, "I like cute girls like you." Jade came back all excited and she said, "Would you like to come over to my house?" I nodded my head and I said, "Let me go put my stuff in my room." Jade nodded her head and said, "Can I come in?" I smiled at her and said, "Yeah, you can come in."
Dylin went back to his house and Jade followed me into mine and that's when Jade said, "Where is your family at?" We reached the stairs and I said, "My dad is at work and my three brothers are hanging out with their friends." Jade gasped and said, "But then that would mean that you'd be all alone until they showed up." I shrugged my shoulders and said, "It's peace and quiet when my father and my brothers are gone." We reached the top of the stairs and the door to my room was at the end of the hall so we started walking when we got to my room. I opened my door and I was greeted by Bella who was wagging her tail. Jade came in and she immediately got on her knees to pet the puppy. When Bella decided that she didn't want to be petted anymore she walked away. Jade got up and she noticed my pictures and she said, "Where's your mom at in these pictures?" I walked over to her and I said, "She's not in those pictures cause she's dead." Jade looked at me with a sorry look in her eyes and she said, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to pry." I smiled at her and I said, "It's alright, you didn't know."
I asked Jade if I could take Bella over to her house and she said that I could. We were about to leave my room when Jade said, "How good is your view from up here?" I showed her my window that my bed is at and she said, "That's my window right there!" I saw where she was pointing at and there was a window without it's blinds. We went downstairs, out of my house and into her house where I bumped into a guy. I caught myself from falling onto the ground and the guy said, "I'm so sorry." Jade had to hold onto my arm when she said to the guy, "Uncle Greg, this is Astrid, she lives next door." Greg smiled at me and said, "Nice to meet you, Astrid." Jade and I walked into her house and we went to her room.
I saw that she had a lot of unpacking to do so I asked her if I could help out. She nodded and then she said, "If you don't mind." I shook my head and then I got down on my knees and before I started pulling her stuff out of the boxes, I unclipped Bella's leash. Jade handed me a pocket knife and I used the knife to cut open the box and then I noticed that there was books in it. I asked Jade about the books and she said, "Can you put them on the bookshelf for me?" I nodded at her and then I grabbed the box and took it over to the bookshelf when I asked her how she wanted the books to go. Jade got up, walked over to me and she said, "Um... just put them in there and I'll put them how I want it to go." I started to put the books in a shelf and I heard Bella whine, so I looked down at her and I realized that she needed to go outside. I put the books that I was holding on the shelf and then I grabbed her leash when Jade said, "Can I take her outside?"
I nodded my head and I handed her the leash and then I put the rest of the books on the shelf. I heard a door slam so I went over to Jade's window, looked out and saw my dad walking towards the front door. I went downstairs and saw Jade about ready to come upstairs with Bella so I said to her, "I gotta go, my dad is home." She nodded her head, handed me the leash and said, "Will I see you later?" I nodded my head and I walked out of her house, heading towards my house.
