Duke’s P.O.V.
I knew it was going to eat away at Astrid unless I told her what I meant when I said, ‘…if for some reason you didn’t want to be with me anymore that I would do whatever I could to get her back.’ When we arrived at the mall I could barely remember anything; all I can remember is the thought that penetrated my mind. I snapped out of my thoughts when I suddenly felt somebody touch my hand. I looked to my right to face my beautiful girl, Astrid. I smile at her and she says, “What’s wrong?” I was about to tell her nothing was wrong but I knew better than to do that so I say, “Remember what I said earlier? About that I would do anything to get you back?” Astrid nods her head and I continue with, “I feel like you’re going to find somebody else and then you’re going to leave me.”
Astrid squeezes my hand and she whispers, “I don’t want anybody else, I only want you.” I smile at her and say, “That means a lot coming from you.” After I say that I pull Astrid gently over towards me and then I kiss her hard. Astrid kisses me back and whispers, “Can we go to your house instead?” I nod my head and we make our way towards my car. I drive off towards my house and once we arrive home; Astrid and I went to the front door. We went inside my house and went into my room to set on my bed.
I push Astrid gently and slowly onto my pillow and then I get on top of her and kiss her gently. We began kissing until I hear somebody knock on the front door so I slowly get off of Astrid and began making my way towards the door. I open it and its Roy and I say, “What you doing here?” He mumbles and then says, “Was wondering if we could hang out today.” I look over towards the stairs and back towards Roy and say, “Astrid is here though but I’m sure she wouldn’t mind if you stayed.” Roy comes inside and we head upstairs and once we entered my room I sit beside Astrid. Roy smiles at Astrid and he says, “You don’t mind if I’m here do you, Astrid?” She shakes her head and Roy says, “Okay good.” Roy sits on the floor and three hours later, I had to take Astrid back home so Roy begins making his way back to his place. Astrid and I got into my car and I began to drive to her house. We arrived at Astrid’s house and she says, “I love you Duke.” I repeat it back to her and say, “See you tomorrow.”
Astrid’s P.O.V.
I got out of the car and went to the front door and as soon as I got into my room one thought began to cloud my mind, ‘Would Duke leave me for somebody else?’ I couldn’t ignore that thought as it would weigh on my mind until I told Duke about it so I decided to call him to find out. When Duke’s phone began to ring I had a thought pop into my head, ‘Would he say he has already found somebody but that he has already found somebody but that he wouldn’t say who?’ I was about to hang up when he answered with a, “Hey babe.” I was about to smile at that but the smile became a frown when I say, “Would you leave me for somebody else?” I bit my lip hoping that I would hear some good news and then Duke says, “I would never leave you, your my whole world.” I sighed in relieve and say, “I’m glad to hear that.”
After an hour of talking we end our conversation and I put my phone away and go to bed having a horrible nightmare. The nightmare was about Duke and I married with a baby on the way and a girl from Duke’s past comes back and Duke leaves me for her. I woke up drenched with sweat and I began to cry hoping that, that would never happen. I couldn’t fall asleep again because I was worried that my nightmare would come back. Since I couldn’t sleep I decided to take a shower so that’s what I did. When I got done showering, I went outside for a walk and I came back home at eleven. When I went inside, I was happy that nobody was up since they would’ve been yelling at me for being outside.
I sat on my bed and started to painfully replay the nightmare I had, it was so real that it actually could’ve just happened. I knew better than to think that it could’ve been real but I couldn’t control the thoughts that were coming out of my head. I went downstairs to get some cereal and then I went into the living room to see what was on. I went up to my later on and began to play my I-pod. I turned it to ‘One track mind’ by Papa Roach since listening and singing to the music helped me calm down, I began to sing along to the lyrics and just when I was in the middle of singing, somebody began knocking on my door. I opened it to face Raven with a shocked look on her face so I say, “What’s wrong with you?”
