Astrid’s P.O.V.
When I arrived in the house, I immediately went up to my room. I called Raven not caring about what time it was and when she spoke, I cut her off and say, “Guess what happened?” After I had told Raven that Duke asked me to marry him, we talked for almost two hours and then Raven had to go. I took off the dress and got my pajamas on and then I went to bed. I woke up the next day and just when I was about to go into the bathroom to shower, my phone began to go off. I sigh aloud and walk towards my phone and see that its Duke calling. I answered it and he wanted to come over so I told him that he can come.
After I got done talking with Duke, I went to the bathroom and took a quick shower. When I got out, I saw Duke sitting on my bed and he says, “Hey babe.” I smile at him and I say to myself, “Thank god I got changed in the bathroom.” I walk over to him and say, “What are you doing here already?” Duke grabbed me and pulled me onto his lap and he says, “I couldn’t wait to see you.” I smiled at him and say, “Aw, thanks Duke, I couldn’t wait to see you either.” Duke kissed my cheek and he says, “You want to go anywhere?”
I nodded my head and say, “But not right now.” Duke squeezes me gently and he says, “Awesome, I get to spend some time with you on my lap.” I grin at that and say, “That is awesome.” Duke lays his head on my shoulder and we stay like that for an hour. I kiss Duke on top of his head and whisper, “Get up, let’s go.” Duke raises his head and he says, “Well go as soon as you kiss me.” I sigh aloud and he says, “Guess were not going anywhere then.” I glare at him and say, “Fine, I’ll kiss you but after that were leaving.” Duke nods his head so I kiss him and then when I’m about to pull away, Duke kisses me back. I smile at him and say, “Can we go now?” Duke kisses me one more time and he says, “Now we can.” I shake my head and say, “Never mind, lets still here and snuggle up.” Duke grins and says, “Now I like that idea.” I lay my head on Duke’s shoulder and I hear him whisper, “I love you.” I lift my head up to smile at him and say, “I love you too.”
Duke’s P.O.V.
I kissed the top of Astrid’s head and I think to myself, ‘I hope nothing breaks us apart.’ I must’ve said it aloud because Astrid says, “Nothing will.” I chuckle and say, “I said that aloud, didn’t I?” Astrid nods her head and I say, “Damn.” I thought I said that to myself not out loud; god I feel like an idiot. Three hours later I had to leave so I say before I leave, “I love you Astrid.” She repeats it back to me and then I head out to go to my car.
I left then and I think to myself, ‘Would I begin to grow feelings for Lily again when she arrived?’ I mentally kicked myself in the ass for thinking that but a part of me still loved her. When I arrived home I wanted to break something because I was feeling pissed off at myself for some reason. I went into my room and turned on some Nine Inch Nails and I punch at the wall for a bit and then I lay down on my bed. I close my eyes for a bit and I end up sleeping for the entire day. I woke up the next day feeling like shit so I didn’t want to see Astrid today because if I was sick, I didn’t want to get her sick too. I called Astrid and told her that I wasn’t feeling well.
I lay back down on my bed after I sat my phone on the floor and I fell asleep. I woke up the next day feeling well rested and I really wanted to see Astrid. I decided to do a surprised visit on her since I felt really good about today. I grabbed a fresh pair of clothes and ran into the bathroom to shower. When I got in the shower, my stomach was hurting so I knew that I had to make something before I left. I got done with my shower and then I got changed and I ran down the stairs to get something to eat. After I ate I washed my dishes and went back up to my room to get my shoes on, wallet, cell phone and keys. I began to make my way downstairs and then I arrived in front of the door. I opened it and stepped out and closed the door. I made my way towards the car and drove off once I got inside. I arrived at Astrid’s house and then I got out and made my way to the door.
