Duke’s P.O.V.
I thought maybe Astrid’s father would’ve said that he was getting impatient with me waiting so long to marry Astrid. Although I decided to do it very soon so I say to Astrid, “I’m going to take you out to eat tomorrow so please make sure you wear a dress to it.” Astrid nods her head and I figured maybe she would try and ask why I wanted to take her out to eat but she didn’t and she says, “I’ll wear the dress that we went to our dance with.” I smiled at that and I say, “You look beautiful in it.” Astrid blushes and says, “Thank you.” I smile and say, “I’ll pick you up tomorrow at 5, is that okay?” She nods her head and says, “Its okay.”
We stay in the car for a while longer and then Astrid says, “Let’s go to your house.” I nod my head and begin to drive off to go to my house. When we arrive at my house I say, “Let me open up the door for you.” Astrid closes the door and I say before I get out, “Thank you.” I get out then and open up the door to let Astrid out and then we head into the house. Four hours later I’m taking Astrid back home so she can get some sleep for tomorrow. We arrive at Astrid’s house and I say, “I love you.” She turns to face me and says, “I love you too.”
Astrid gets out of my car and went to the front door of her house. Astrid stops in front of the door and then she turns around and waves at me before she heads inside. I leave then after I make sure that Astrid is safely inside her house and then I drive off heading home. When I arrived home I decided that I should think exactly how I’m going to ask Astrid to marry me. I knew I wanted to ask tomorrow but I needed to plan it out more. I decided it then and I just hoped that it planned out right and not in disaster. I went to my room and pulled out the tux I used when Astrid and I went to the dance in. I made sure that it was cleaned with nothing on it and once I did that then Chase came in and he says, “What’s with the tux?” I glared at him for not knocking first and I say, “I’m taking Astrid to a fancy restaurant where I will propose to her.”
Astrid’s P.O.V.
I was very excited to go out to dinner with Duke because we have never gone out to a fancy place before. I was just wondering why we were doing it. I pulled out my dress from my closet and hung it up so it didn’t get wrinkles. I went downstairs and I saw Matt eating Pringles on the floor in the living room and I say, “You’re a pig.” Matt glares at me and when I walk closer up to him I can see that my name is on those Pringles and I yell out, “Those are mine you idiot!” Matt looks at the can and he sees my name on them and he says, “I’ll buy you three new cans to make it up, alright?” I thump him on the head and say, “You better.”
Matt stands up and he says, “I’ll buy you some more as soon as you give me a hug first.” I sigh aloud and say, “Really?” Matt doesn’t say anything, just stands there so I decide to hug him and he says, “Was that so difficult to do?” After he says that, he lets go and says, “I’m heading out now to get your chips.” I smile at him and then he heads out. I head back up to my room and I pull out my notebook and I begin writing more. I get three pages written before I hear Matt calling out my name.
I head downstairs and he hands me a bag so I look inside it and I saw that there was six cans in it and I say, “You were only supposed to get three cans.” Matt grins and says, “Just take them alright?” I hug Matt and pull out a can and say as I’m giving it to him, “Here.” Before he argues with me, I run up the stairs and say, “Don’t eat those too fast.” I shut my door and place the Pringles in my closet where hopefully their safe and won’t get eaten. I get my notebook out again and I write another three pages before my hand hurts so I hide the notebook and I lay on my bed and I think to myself, “How is tomorrow going to play out?” I get off my bed and walk towards my light switch and then I turn it off and try to make my way towards my bed. I made my way towards the bed without falling on the floor and then I got into bed. I began to close my eyes feeling the heaviness of sleep.
