Astrid’s P.O.V.
*Three months later*
Duke and I had moved into a house together and we had everything unpacked. I had thought that maybe Duke and I would spend a lot of time together but lately Duke has been spending a lot of time with somebody else. I went down to the kitchen to get a glass of apple juice when my phone went off. I pulled it out of my pocket and I saw that it was Duke who was calling. I answered it and he says, “Hey babe, I’m going to be coming home now so we can go out to eat and do some fun stuff.” I tell him that I can’t wait and when Duke says that he has to go I say, “Who did you see today?” Duke tells me that he hung out with Roy and then he hangs up.
When the dial tone went off, I looked at the phone in disbelieve, I couldn’t believe that he hung up on me like that. When Duke got back I asked him why he hung up on me like that and he says, “I’m sorry babe, I know I forgot to tell you that I love you.” I nod my head slowly and Duke walks over to me and he hugs me tightly and he says, “Ready to go babe?” I nod my head and we get ready to go and once were ready we head out to Duke’s car. We drove out and Duke says, “Where do you want to eat at?” I shrug my shoulders and say, “Surprise me.” Duke takes us to a restaurant and we head inside to eat.
Two hours later were heading back home and we went into the living room. Duke and I went over to the couch and we sat down and when Duke was about to kiss me, I got off the couch and say, “I’m going to bed now.” Duke gives me a sad look and he says, “Alright then, goodnight; I love you.” I smile at Duke and say, “Night; I love you too.” I left then and went into the bedroom and just when I was about to change into my pajamas I heard somebody knock. I turned around and saw Duke standing there and he says, “Do I get a kiss?” I grin and walk towards him and he pulls me close to him. Just as I was about to kiss him, he kisses me first and then I kiss him back.
Duke’s P.O.V.
After Astrid went to bed I decided to step outside and call Lily. When she answered I had asked her if we can hang out tomorrow and she said that she would love to. We talked a bit longer and then she had to go. I was a bit upset about that, I really wanted to talk to her more. I sigh aloud and hoped that Astrid wouldn’t find out about Lily. Not that I felt she would get upset but I just didn’t want her to know Lily. I sat down on the steps watching cars go by.
I sigh slightly and then I felt somebody touch my shoulder. I jumped and turned around to face Astrid and she says, “Come to bed Duke, please.” I stood up and I say, “Let’s go then.” I smiled at Astrid before we went inside the house and when we arrived in the bedroom, I took my shoes and shirt off. Astrid gets into the bed and I went in after her. She gets on top of me and I say, “Hey you.” Astrid doesn’t say anything just kisses me on the lips.
I kiss her back and I whisper, “What are you doing to me?” Astrid shrugs her shoulders acting innocently and she says, “I’m not doing anything.” I shake my head and I say, “Sure you’re not.” I wrap my arms around Astrid tightly and I kiss her again. I then kiss her on the forehead and Astrid says, “I’m going to get some water, okay?” I frown at her and say, “Alright, but hurry up.” I let go of Astrid and she gets off of me and heads out the door.
Four minutes later I hear somebody coming up the stairs and I knew that it was Astrid. The door opens and it reveals my beautiful Astrid. I smile at her and she says, “Can you turn on the lamp because I’m going to turn the light off.” I nod my head and reach over towards the lamp and I turn it on. Astrid turns the light off and she makes her way towards the bed. When she’s near me I grab her and pull her on top of me. She laughs as I place her whole body on me and she says, “That was fun.” After Astrid gets comfortable I hear her whisper, “I love you.” I repeat it back to her and then we soon both fall asleep.
