Hey.
Nan here.
Sorry for the long absence. I just typed out an entire chapter and deleted the entire thing. I felt like I was being way too pissy. And its not good to spread anger. So I gave myself a time out, told myself to chillout, keep calm and then write.
Deep breaths.
*cries in frustration*
*rips hair out*
Okay focus, Nan, focus.
So
I have no clue what I'm writing at this point.
It's 1am.
On a Friday night.
Or should I say Saturday morning.
Omg I live such an exciting life. I'm typing while people my age are partying. My exams ended today. People got alcohol to school and were "celebrating". And what did I do? I was a good girl, came back home sober, and watched two movies back to back with my parents. Loverly I know (WHAT UP MY FAIR LADY REFERENCE).
The first one was Amar Akbar Anthony, an all time Bollywood great. And now I finally understand how it became a hit. It's complete slapstick with a hint of music and a complicated plot. In short: A perfect Bollywood film.
The story follows the friendship of these three guys from completely different backgrounds, and throws a little light on the mafia situation of the 70s. [SPOILER ALERT] In the end the three of them turn out to be brothers (woohoo), their blind mother gets her eyesight back because of her blind faith in a Guru (pardon the pun), their mafia dad gets put in jail, and all three brothers and their respective girlfriends live happily ever after (yay). [SPOILER OVER]

The second movie was something we'd watched over and over. Singin' In The Rain. OMG GENE KELLY WAS SO HOT WHY DON'T THEY MAKE THEM AS PRETTY ANYMORE. So in my family, we have this thing- whenever any of us have a horrible day, we watch a comfort movie. The movies in this category are:
The Gods Must Be Crazy
The Great Dictator
The Sound of Music
Singin' In The Rain
My Fair Lady
Lion King
The Jungle Book
The Wizard Of Oz
Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone
Willy Wonky and the Chocolate Factory (the old one)
Sister Act
Mary Poppins.

So today (or yesterday, whatever floats your boat) we watched Singin' In The Rain. And laughed, and laughed and laughed all over again. And it helped me feel so much better. I think everyone just needs to learn to laugh. It really helps. Don't just type "Lol" do it. Laugh out Loud. Without caring about who's watching. Don't giggle, or snort. Laugh. Laugh like there's no tomorrow.
It burns calories.

And that's all I have for now. Exams are done and I'm bunking a few days of school next week so I might post then.
*Fingers crossed*

See you later alligator

~Nan
