39. TVF: The Viral Fever(Mad)

Hallo people, Mad here.

So I've been watching these awesome web series on Youtube, nay, on this website called www.tvfplay.com .

They are so awesome that I've been wanting to recommend them to the whole world. So today, I shall be doing exactly that.

First, a little about TVF. It is an awesome Indian YouTube channel. Read the rest on Wikipedia cause I can't wait to start ranting... (smiles sheepishly) 

In all of the shows, English subtitles are available, but there is a lot of swearing.

1. TVF Pitchers

Imdb Rating: 9.4/10                                        Genre: Drama

Naveen Bansal, frustrated with his job decides to work on an idea for a start up with two of his college friends, Jitu and Yogi. They end up quitting their jobs and very soon realise that it isn't as easy as it sounds. Soon they get a new team member, Mandal, Naveen's roommate, who does't really fit in. The series shows their journey and how they battle obstacles to achieve their goals. 

So I absolutely am in love with this genius series. It is too good. The acting is on point, the story is fab and the characterisation is amazing.

All the characters have the scope of developing into the story and it is very realistic. Not everything works out for them, they have to sacrifice a lot on their way. It is beautiful.

The script is very powerful. The monologues are moving and the actors delivering them are exceptional.

I strongly recommend this series to anyone who likes stories with a message.  

2. Permanent Roommates

Imdb Rating: 8.8/ 10                                                          Genre: Romedy

Mukesh and Tanya have been in a long distance relationship for 3 years and Tanya really likes him, but when he surprises her with an out-of-the-blue marriage proposal, she doesn't really know what to do. The show follows their love story with unexpected twists and turns. 

So the two promos were for season 2, I couldn't find a trailer for season 1. 

I loved this series as well. It made me laugh, cry and place myself in the shoes of the characters.

The actors were really into their roles. Tanya reminds me so much of Mindy from The Mindy Project, another show that I love to bits. She is a very strong female lead and I want to marry her. Micky, on the other hand is a very quirky, but an adorable character. I didn't know whether I want to hate him or like him, or whether I want the awesome Tanya to be with him until the last episode of season 2, which made me cry.

The script is decent, the actors are very convincing and it's a cute show.

3. Tripling

Imdb Rating : 9.2/10                                                         Genre: Drama

Chandan; A man with a plan. He believes that every situation should be and can be resolved by diplomacy and organisation. But life kicks him in the gut and he lands up in Mumbai to meet his brother, Chitvan, homeless, jobless, wifeless and without a plan.

Chitvan; The rebel who thinks life is a joke. Carefree and wild, Chitvan believes in living in the moment. A rule breaker, he leaves his home to become an unsuccessful DJ. But that doesn't bother him until he meets his elder brother Chandan almost after a decade. As they try to resolve Chandan's problem, they end up on an unexpected road trip to their sister, Chanchal's, place.

Chanchal; The Queen of a province in Rajasthan is unhappy with her life. Her husband used to be cool in their college days but now she doesn't know who he is anymore. After a fight with him, she joins her brothers on a journey of self discovery.

I really liked this show. The characters are charming and the actors have played their roles very well. Very realistic, very believable.
