" I'll be fine Aleah. Go ahead and go." "Are you sure ma?" "Yes Aleah. Stop stalling." She says laughing. "I'm nervous." "Don't be. She's going to love you." I hope so. Her opinion means a lot to Ty. I want to make a good impression." "You will baby just be yourself. Call me later." "I'll do better and stop by." "Okay. I love you." "I love you too ma." "You're amazing baby don't ever feel otherwise." "Thanks ma." I kiss her cheek and then walk out of the door.

"Ready baby?" Ty asks. "Yes I am." We ride in silence minus Ty making beats with the steeling wheel. He makes beats on whatever is around when he's nervous. "You good over there?" He glances over at me and smiles, "I'm cool." "So you're just making beating the beat to Drop It like it's Hot because it's stuck in your head?" "That's exactly why." He says laughing. "Sure Tywon."

We pull up to the house. "You ready?" He asks. "I'm nervous." "Me too." I laugh, "That's not you were supposed to say." He laughs, "You good baby I love you and she'll love you too." Did he just say he loves me? What type of love we talking? Like love, love or like I love the type of person you are. "You mean love, love or like..." "Whoa wait... Like your an amazing person love." Should I be relieved or like salty as hell... what he mean I'm an amazing person.

I laugh, "I knew that." "I mean maybe I do and I'll actually say it one day but it's way too soon to be using they L word so seriously." "So if you do then you do. Why would you wait to say it?" "That L word complicates things. I would rather show it than just say it." "So you would rather just feel it rather than express it to me?" "My actions will do all the talking for me." "But Ty actions can be interpreted differently." "When I feel the time is right then I'll verbally say it." "Okay Ty."

I still don't know what the hell we just accomplished here. "Are you scared of the L word?" I ask. "I wouldn't say scared but it's something I don't use loosely. Are you scared of the L word? The way you were looking said it all." "I'm not scared of it. It's just a little intimidating." "Agreed." "So did you say that because of my face or do you really mean it?" "You should know me better than that by now. I really mean it."

"Are you two going to come in or just stand there and debate all day?" I look up and see an older woman version of Ty. "Hey Grandma." Ty says going up to her, hugging her. He looks back at and motions for me to come up. Alright Aleah just be yourself. I walk up. "Grandma this is my girlfriend Aleah. Aleah this is my grandma." "Just call me Grandma Francis." She say pulling me into a hug. I smile, "It's nice to meet you grandma Francis."

A few hours later....

"She loves you baby." "I love her too. She's really cool and that Apple pie was to die for." "Oh yeah she'll lure you in with that Apple Pie." I laugh, "It went better than I imagined it would." "I told you stop stressing it and just be yourself." "My mama said the same thing. Can we stop back by there before we go to your place... I told mama I would stop by." "Sure baby.... I knew you were in when you walked over and she hugged you." I laugh, "She doesn't normally do that?"

"Hell nah. My first wife she just glanced her over and barely said hello to her. I should've known it was something off then." "Grandma knows best huh?" "She does." "How come you never talk about your parents? I saw some old pictures on the wall. Your mom is beautiful." He sighs and starts beating on the steeling wheel again. It gets quiet for a few minutes. "Well... I was 7 and I thought it would be a good idea to play with my father's matches.... I lit the match and then I heard someone outside my bedroom door so I threw it." "Oh no damn baby."

"I know... So I don't really like reliving that." "Have you ever talked to anyone about that?" "Nah. I haven't. They tried to get me to talk to someone. They assumed the problem was watching my parent burn up. I was young and at the time I felt like I would've went to jail so I never told anyone I was the reason my parents died." "That's a lot to hold in baby."

"I know but hey it is what it is." "Your secrets are always safe with me." "Thank you for that." "No problem cheap ass." He laughs, "You're a good one broke ass. I'm glad I made you mine." I smile at him.

That's so sad. I can't imagine holding on to something like that for so long. I probably would've told August or some shit like that. Speaking of I haven't heard anything from him in a while or the girls. "So would I be crazy if I wanted to get Amaya on some weekends out of the month?" I ask. "No it wouldn't be a bad idea. She is your daughter." "You wouldn't mind?" "Nah I like children. I wouldn't mind at all. She deserves that mother daughter time who am I to stop that."

"Thanks baby." "No problem. I enjoy talking with her too." "She's told me she likes you and Angelique says you're a keeper." "That Angelique is funny. You should've saw them the last time when you fell asleep. So when taking Aleah out? Can we come on a date with y'all? Are you being a gentleman? Why do boys be so mean to girls... It was never ending." He says laughing. "They love some Ty." "Yeah they love me now until they bring home one of them lil nappy headed boys and he get grilled." "Oh God I can only imagine that. Between you and August the poor guy won't stand a chance."

"Hell nah." I love how he is with them, he doesn't treat them any different. Amaya calls him her other future dad and Angelique calls him her God father. Amina doesn't really fool with me well us. I mean she's young so it's understandable. At least she says hey. We pull up to mama house. "You coming in?" "Yeah I'll be in. In a second." "Alright." I get out and proceed inside. "Ma!" I don't get an answer. I look through the entire house and nothing. "Where mama at?" Ty asks walking inside. "I don't know I can't find her. I've searched the entire house."
