------

His name is Lee Donghae and he lives in the building one block away. Every morning during weekdays, he comes by the coffee and cake shop I work at and have breakfast before he goes to work. Well, I actually own the coffee shop together with my cousin Ryeowook, but that's beside the point. Donghae always shows up at seven thirty. He will come in and greet me with a smile and a 'Good morning, Jongwoon-ssi' before ordering his usual morning coffee, sweetened with three spoonful of sugar. Sometimes he will ask for some sandwiches, sometimes he has pancakes, and sometimes he will just pick some pastries Ryeowook has baked beforehand, in no particular order.

His name is Lee Donghae and he works in an advertising company downtown. I don't know what his exact position in the company is; all I know is that he co-owns the business with his friend. I guess that makes him one of the directors or something, I'm nowhere as good at business administration as I am at making drinks. He loves what he is doing though, I can see it from the way his eyes glint every time he talks about the things he does at work. Not that we often talk about anything at all, save his good mornings and orders for coffee and pastry.

Okay, I do admit he will linger at the counter longer than usual sometimes, and engage me in a small talk. Talks like how nice the weather is and how he hopes that it will not be raining later in the evening, though I remember he at one point confessed that he loves the rain, only when it doesn't ruin his working attire. Sometimes the talk will border on more personal things like 'his friend is getting married next week', and sometimes he will even throw in some cheesy line like 'Jongwoon-ssi, you look as nice as the coffee you make this morning. Is it the shirt? Or I was just blind all this time?' I will only laugh and settle on a light slap on his arm every time he says something that goes along that line, silently hoping he won't notice how my face heats up and how I try so hard not to break into a silly grin.

If I didn't know better, I would think that he is flirting with me. Wookie has numerous times said that he is indeed flirting with me, that Lee Donghae likes me. But I just shake my head every time, denying what Wookie said. Because why would someone like Lee Donghae like someone like me? The only thing I'm good at is making drinks, and I am too awkward to be attractive. I am not saying that I am ugly, because my eyes are working properly and I do have mirrors at home. But Lee Donghae is the perfect description of gorgeous. He is not tall but he is not short either. His well built body shows that he does work out sometime in between working and showing up at the shop. His smile is free and childish but it betrays nothing in showing that he is a man, mature and intelligent. And he has a pair of the most captivating brown eyes I have ever seen, they seem like they can see through my soul that I always avoid looking at his eyes every time. Well, not that I usually do a good job at that.

So yeah. His name is Lee Donghae and I kind of, kind of have a massive crush on him. Wait. Crush sounds too girlish. Let's just say that I like him way more than it is appropriate for a coffee shop owner toward his customer. And I really hope that he does not notice this. Though if I have to be honest, it would be nice if he does.

I let out a long suffering sigh as I rest my chin on my arms that are propped by the counter. I'm just done with making drinks for the latest stream of customers for the morning rush. People who need their daily dose of caffeine to function for the rest of the day. Most of them order drinks to go, only few actually sit down and drink their coffee while reading the morning paper. Most are rushing to get to work, or whatever it is they do every morning.

I look around the shop and find most tables are empty, save one at the corner where two young men are having breakfast together. They always have breakfast here everyday, they come in half an hour after Lee Donghae, and always have the table at the corner. On weekends they come one or two hours later. Everyone appreciates the chance of sleeping in on weekends, though I am one of the more unfortunate ones who have to wake up bright and early since I have a shop to open. Both of them are students, they go to the university nearby. For most people, they look like the normal best friends slash roommates, but it is clear to me that they are more than that. They do not actually come in holding hands and making kissy faces, not like that. But the subtle touches and the lingering looks they give each other are not lost on me.
