*Uru's POV*

Pride Rock...

The whole pride is eating breakfast. Athena and the huntresses brought home wilder beast my favorite. Ahadi couldn't join us. He had to go do his normal early morning patrol. Mufasa tag along too with Zazu.

After breakfast, I walk behind Pride Rock where the shady trees and large rocks are. I chose a rock and laid down licking my paws clean.

"Uru, Uru!" Called a voice.

I look up seeing Sarabi run forward. "Yes, Sarabi?"

"Hyenas are in the Pride Lands!"

"What?!"

"Where's Ahadi?"

I got up scanning my eyes around in search for Zuzu. "He's still out on morning patrol with Zazu and Mufasa. Go rally the lionesses! This will be your first real task of being Queen."

Sarabi nod her head then ran away to the cave. I took off in the other direction to find Zuzu my majordomo.

"Zuzu, Zuzu!" I call out.

No response.

Where is that hornbill? She can't be far!

"Hehehehehe!"

I stop running to catch my breath. The sound of laughter made my ears point up. Its so familiar!

"Remember me Uru?" A voice questioned.

I look over my left shoulder seeing Makana the hyena matriarch come forward. I spin around growling.

"Makana!"

"Its been so long Uru. How are your children? I bet they're all grown up."

I growl louder extending my claws. "Makana you shouldn't be here in the Pride Lands."

She chuckled. "But I am, Uru. Plus we have something of yours!"

A hyena step out from behind Makana. In his mouth he's holding Zuzu.

Wait, Zuzu!!!

"Zuzu!" I yell with worry.

Zuzu drop a tear. "My Queen...please...help me."

I crouch down ready to pounce.

Makana shook her head. "Ah, ah, ah. If you attack, Ed here will shut his jaws killing your birdie in a instant."

Zuzu met her eyes with my red ones. "Just listen to her, Uru. I'll be okay!"

I wanted to say something so bad. But for the safety of my bird friend, I sat down with a sigh.

Makana smirked. "That's better."

"What do you want Makana?" I ask. "Why do you keep returning here??"

"You know exactly what I want Uru."

"No, I don't exactly."

She growled. "I want revenge!"

I look confused. "For what? Your clan broke the rules and killed many cubs from our pride years ago. The grave yard is your punishment and where you'll stay for now on. Makana you know that already!"

"That's not why I want revenge. Your husband killed mines!"

"Well your husband shouldn't of tried to attack mines."

"He did it to save me, Uru!"

"You both had no business hunting in our land in the first place Makana. Your husband fall to his own death. It is NOT our fault!" I end the last sentence stomping my paw on the ground.
