Flowers And Bees

*Kaisa's POV*

"Thank you, dear."

"Any thing for the King's mother!"

I exit out the den returning back to my best friend Zaina who's still laid out sun bathing.

I shook my head. "You never get tired of the sun, eh?"

"Nope" She replied popping the "P" at the end. I laugh shaking my head again.

Zaina roll her body over. She's now on her back staring up at the light blue sky.

"Kaisa, did you hear about what happened between Jengo and Scar earlier?" Zaina ask, out of no where.

I lay my back on the soft green grass joining her. "No. What happen?"

"They've had an argument apparently."

"Argument about?"

Zaina stare at the white fluffy clouds. "Jengo told me that he witness Scar giving three hyenas away half of our left over breakfast."

My eyes grew wide. I turn my head so I can face her. "Please tell me this is a joke, Zaina."

"This is no joke, Kaisa. These are the exact words Jengo had told me while you were in the den."

"I can't imagine Scar doing that. He seems innocent."

"Yeah, I said the same thing."

I frown. "Wait a minute. That explains why the elderly and cubs never get a chance to eat! Me and the huntresses work extremely hard brining back large enough prey for everyone to eat. When it's the elderly and cubs turn to eat, there's barley any left over."

Zaina turn her head taking her grey eyes off the clouds and met them with my gold ones. "So what are trying to say?"

"I'm saying he's a thief or traitor, Zaina! Just plain wasteful. Our pride have to eat. Herds aren't always around. Sometimes they don't come back until next season."

"True, I agree my friend."

"Where is Scar?"

Zaina turn head looking back up at the sky. "Not here."

I lift a brow. "What do you mean?"

"Jengo exiled him."

"Good."

"You think Jengo made a good decision?" She asked, with a worry tone.

"Of course! Scar broke one of the pride's rule.  One of them is to never steal. Plus he's become friends with the enemy. What type of lion would be friends with a hyena? A crazy one!" I frown.

"I still think it's a bit too far. Scar is his cousin Kaisa. Jengo knows what everything Scar has been through with his family back at Pride Rock. Punishing him sounds better than an exile."

"I see what your coming from, Zaina. But maybe Pride Rock is where Scar really belongs. He needs to stay there. The Sky Leaf Pride isn't the right place for him clearly."

Zaina let out a sigh. I tilt my head up staring at the moving white fluffy clouds. In my opinion I feel Jengo was right to exile Scar. He broke an important rule and that is to never steal. Scar being friends with the hyenas can bring danger to the pride too.
