Three Musketeers
Trooper, Totillas and Caviar all stood on the roof of the city hall building. Totillas tried to see if he could see anything happening in the meeting going on.
"See anything?" Caviar looked at Totillas. He looked at her and shook his head.
"No good... But we can listen!" He smiled. Caviar nodded and looked around. Trooper watched over everything, making sure no KRA Knights came.
"You two stay here I'll try to go get a visual." Caviar smiled. Totillas nodded, his ear pressed to the vent cover. He could hear every word being spoken. Caviar walked to the edge of the roof. She hopped down silently and looked around.
No guards were where she was. She trotted toward the walls of the room where the meeting was being held. She looked in the Windows, but all of them were at bad angles. She trotted around trying to find a good spot.
Totillas listened still on the roof. Caviar got a small good visual. She saw a bay thoroughbred stallion wearing a silver chest plate with a black cape and gold out line. She looked at him trying to see who he was.
"I expect the ... Two weeks from now or it won't end well. I've been ... Way to long now! If you don't ... So please just actually ... Or else." Totillas tried to make out what they were saying but most of the words were to muffled that he couldn't. He had never heard the voice of the horse speaking before but it didn't bother him, Ace was always hiring new people and executing the old ones.
Caviar watched the horses walk around. She saw Ace approach the bay stallion and then she saw a dappled gray Arabian who was accompanied by a black draft gelding. She tilted her head still unseen. She was so confused but still paid attention to everything.
Trooper sat down on the roof bored. He watched the horses of the city trot on by in their normal lives. If only they knew what it was like to be a Three Musketeer. Trooper got caught in this day dream.
Before they knew it all of the horses in the meeting room left. Totillas and Trooper hopped down from the roof and trotted to Caviar. The three walked through town talking.
"I got like no information. Their words were muddled." Totillas shook his head annoyed. "Hopefully you had better luck?" He looked at Caviar.
"Well I saw three horses who I didn't know who they were, but I didn't hear anything and you saw the horses leave. So I guess not." Caviar sighed as they walked.
"That was a waste of time." Totillas swished his tail. Trooper walked with the two listening, he didn't do much so it's not like he's gonna be much help right now.
The group walked without saying a word. Even when they got home they all went their separate ways inside silently. They were down because they still have no information that they need.
Caviar laid down in the living room area. Trooper sat in there. Totillas was in the library looking through things.
"Wait... That black draft is Rodrigo... He lives in Havana." Totillas shouted to Caviar and Trooper as he trotted out of the library.
"Don't the assassins live there?" Trooper looked at Totillas. He nodded.
"So that gray Arabian must have been his son Cesar!" Caviar perked her head up.
"Yes." Totillas nodded.
"We still don't know who the other stallion was..." Trooper look at them.
"Correct." Totillas looked at Trooper. "But we can start somewhere now! We need to figure out why Cesar and Rodrigo would be here talking to Ace."
"Sounds easy enough!" Caviar smiled. Trooper agreed. "So where do we start?"
"Research!" Totillas smiled widely. Caviar and Trooper groaned. They hated research. All they ever did in it was sit there quietly and act like they were working so Totillas wouldn't lecture them in the importance of research.
Totillas dragged the two into the library. He handed them both piles of files and books. Caviar and Trooper exchanged looks of kill me now.
They all sat down and began reading. Caviar stared at the pile she had to read while Trooper played with the feather attached to his hat. Totillas was the only one actually reading.
