Three Musketeers
The group walked down the pitch black stairs into the room below. The one noise that was created was from their hooves softly stepping onto the wooden stairs.
When the three made it to the bottom a dim light turned on in the center of the ceiling.
"What is this place?" Caviar looked around the room. Everything looked so dusty, but how could that be? The town was all brand new.
"Oh good question, I bet one of us knows the answer because we come here so often." Trooper snorted at Caviars stupid remark. Caviar rolled her eyes at Troopers sass.
Totillas walked over to a table that was next to a wall. He blew the dust off of it. Papers laid on the desk with an open book and lots of pencils and pens. Totillas examined the papers.
Trooper stood there pretty suspicious about what was actually happening. Caviar checked out everything on the book cases. She picked up a little horse stature, it was light gray and very detailed. She admired it.
"This place wasn't made for us. It was made for the horses of Kevland after Ace killed us. He must have found an alternate use for it." Totillas looked up from the papers at the two. Caviar and Trooper looked at Totillas confused.
"That doesn't make any sense..." Trooper tapped his hoof thinking about what Totillas just said.
"That's what these papers say. They are blue prints and building logs. But one really doesn't make sense..." Totillas looked back at the paper that confused him. Caviar tilted her head.
"Read it to us." Trooper wanted to know what it said.
"All it says is that the Hell Jumpers made it to FallOut and the second group of Hell Jumpers made it to Pandora." Totillas looked at the two others and shrugged.
"That doesn't make any sense, no horse has come any where close to space travel..." Caviar swished her tail.
"It's just to confuse us. Let's get out of here something doesn't feel right." Trooper looked back at the door nervous.
The door slammed shut and the light went out. Everything was pitch black. The group backed up into one another, forming a circle trying to see anything. They all heard nothing, just their hoof steps.
The three waited, listening, trying to see anything that caused the door to shut.
"It was probably just the wind." Caviar looked around.
"Ya probably..." Totillas couldn't see anything still. He broke away from the group stumbling around trying to find the stairs to the door.
"Totillas! We should all stay together!" Trooper flicked his ears listening to where Totillas was. It was quiet. Caviar and Trooper could no longer hear Totillas.
"Totillas?" Caviar didn't know which way was which at this point. Out of no where the door flew open and light flooded back into the room. Trooper and Caviar both closed their eyes hard trying to adjust to the light instead of the dark.
"Totillas?" Trooper looked around. Their friend was no where to be found. He wasn't at the door. No trace of him was left. The two looked at each other.
"I say we get out of this room." Caviar looked at Trooper spooked.
"Agreed!" Trooper galloped up the stairs and outside. Caviar followed closely.
As soon as the two made it outside the door slammed shut again and disappeared. Trooper and Caviar stared at the empty brick wall.
"Where are we?..." Caviar stood right next to Trooper. They had no idea where Totillas was. Neither of them wanted to leave one another's side.
"Some where where we shouldn't be." Trooper backed slowly away from the wall. He backed into a fake horse that wasn't there before. He whinnied and bucked it. The fake horse fell in pieces.
"New rule. We don't split up." Caviar looked at the broken fake horse. She knew it wasn't there before. Something weird was going on.
"Agreed. We need to find Totillas though." Trooper was still spooked from touching the fake horse.
"I don't know where he could be though. The last place we saw him, well heard him, was in that room and now it's gone." Caviar looked at Trooper not knowing what to do.
"Ya... Let's just get out to the fields. This city is giving me the creeps right now." Trooper looked at Caviar. She nodded. The two galloped to where Trooper dumped all of the black smith tools.
Caviar looked back at the city. Their friend was lost some where in there. But where? How did he just disappear into thin air like that? It's not possible!
Caviar shook her head hoping it was just a bad dream. She laid down in the soft grass that filled the fields that surrounded the fake town full of fake creepy things.
Trooper looked at Caviar. He sighed. Where was Totillas? He wished he was here with them. Trooper slowly sat down next to Caviar. He looked at the city before him.
Trooper wanted to burn that city down. It with all of the fake horses and fake everything else with it. Something was off about it. He wanted to run away from him but Totillas was some where trapped in there. They couldn't leave without their closest friend.
Caviar slowly closed her eyes. She didn't feel safe, but she felt so tired. Sleep was probably the worst thing to do, she thought in her mind. But how could she not. The sun was setting. Was that sun fake as well? It didn't look like it. But with this town anything is possible.
Trooper laid down and set his head on the pillow of grass. He closed his eyes slowly, looking at the city. Shivers were sent down his spine when he saw the town. How messed up it was.
Caviar fell asleep thinking about Totillas. Was he scared? Who was she kidding. Totillas was the bravest horse she knew. Of course he wasn't scared.
Everything was quiet as the two slept through the night.
